Using an automation to assign a part number to any part who does not have a part number. Since this database is needing to retroactively run this script one at a time due it is nature of how it assigns part numbers. The best way to do this is to have the script run once, then identify the next record this script needs to run on (next record without a part number) and run again.However as it stands, the second automation run will not happen even when the conditions of the second record are changes to meet the conditions of the automation.Is this a known bug/limitation of airtable automations?

Hi,Using “When a record matches conditions” I want to “Find records” using a result in a previous “Find records”. That result is originally a LookUp, which result I know I can’t use as a dynamic condition in an automation, giving a “Cannot assign list of string to string” error.Hence I created a formula field which CONCATENATEs the LookUp to what I though is a string. Regardless of that, I still get the same error, and cannot use the new formula field in the automation either.The result is a recordID so cannot format these into single selects, they are unique.What have I forgotten about how these work 🤔?Rgds,Björn

Hi,I use the Airtable trick of having an automation update an URL link field so that it becomes a named clickable link. In other words, turning https://www.airtable.com into Click here with [Click here](https://www.airtable.com).The URL to be “coded” is in a Concatenate formula field and directed to Calendly meeting bookings. They include pre-filled variables with both name and e-mail, as well as Calendly “questions” pre-filled from Airtable data.The problem is that my automations that look exactly the same suddenly come up with different results, with the faulty one leaving out the last pre-filled variable, “a3”.Here’s the correct one (data changed):

I am trying to make a template schedule with predecessors (which I have) then use automations to generate a schedule for each new customer that gets entered. I can get it to copy over tasks, but the automation seems unable to generate them with predecessors.I realize I could just copy the full template table, but ideally all customers would be in 1 table (with groupings) since we use the same team to support multiple clients and I need to be able to see when someone is allocated somewhere else. Right now what we’ve done is add a table just for the clients. Then there is a trigger link there to say that they are starting their project. The Action takes a “find records” and pulls the tasks from the template file. Then I have a repeat for each in list of records, create record and I’ve copied most of the columns down. But when I try to add predecessor it doesn’t like that.

Hi everyone! I’ve been trying to use Webhooks for a while to create a simple link that will allow my University’s Data Team to click a link to let us know that a query has been created. The Data Team will not use Slack either, so I’m basically trying to do an Actionable Message, but automating sending an ‘actionable’ link through our Microsoft Teams Channel.I have the Webhook examples below.The formula automatically generates the RecordID into the Webhook so that when it is sent, the RecordID appears in the Params. Hello, Our office has been using airtable for 4 years and have an Enterprise level plan for our specific organization. We have been using the Send via Outlook action for many of our automations. We have multiple colleague’s outlook accounts connected in all of our Workspaces so that we can send an automation out to a population from the colleague that specifically works with them. Recently, Airtable revoked access to both mine and my manager’s outlook accounts. It gave the error:“Something went wrong with your account. Please try to reconnect.” with a Red Triangle ! next to the account.  I reconnected my account successfully by logging into my Outlook. I also notified my manager to reconnect her account on her end, which she did. However, her outlook is still showing as “Something went wrong with your account. Please try to reconnect” on my airtable account and all of my colleague’s accounts. It does not 

I am trying to create a task management database for a small farming operation. Each year, many tasks will follow the same pattern of dependencies, duration, and time between. I currently have 4 tables: Plants: As I add plants to the list, I can generate tasks for the Task table with an automation that pulls tasks from the Templates - Task List table. Templates:  Lists the different available task templates.  Templates - Task List: Lists the different tasks associated with each Template. Also links dependent Predecessor and Successor tasks. Tasks: The final output table, where tasks from the Templates - Task List table are added when the automation from the Plants table is triggered. Has anyone else run into this?I recently split some automations into a second connected base because I was running out of automation space/organisation in the original base.The setup now looks roughly like:Base A = operational/source base Base B = synced/helper automation base Slack notifications now trigger from Base BEver since doing this, Slack notifications have become inconsistent or delayed.What’s weird is:the automations often seem to trigger only after I manually open Base B again.The difficult part is that sometimes it works completely fine for hours/days, and then other times we start getting internal reports that Slack notifications aren’t triggering at all.So operationally it’s become hard to trust because the behaviour feels inconsistent rather than fully broken.It feels like:synced tables aren’t refreshing consistently or automations in inactive bases aren’t

I want to create a signable form using some fields from my base. I want to insert an image at the top of the form, then a bunch of text from a .doc, then the signature field. How do I do that and what level of subscriptin do I need. I’m currently on free. This form will be sent to 28 unique email addresses.

Hi, this is the first time I experience this issue first hand, but out of the sudden all attachment added using a Google drive link via API to my Airtable record gets removed inmediately after being added. It was working alright , but it suddenly stopped working.  I know this is a well known bug in Airtable but could not find any updates. Files are sep with with open sharing and download rights in Google Drive, I an sending the export link in PDF to airtable and it was working currently until it stoppedworking 

I am utilizing the reminder feature in Airtable for the first time. I’ve created a few “test” CRM’s to see how the feature would work for me. Out of 5 “test” CRM’s, only 1 gave me the info I needed. I have attached a picture of what I want vs. what I’m getting. Any idea why one would work and the others do not?

I’m planning an Airtable base for tracking search result data over time and would like to sanity-check the structure.The use case is keyword and competitor monitoring. Hi!I need to track attendance for different cohorts put on throughout the year. Each cohort has multiple sessions and multiple attendees. When attendees are linked to a cohort, I would like to automatically create attendance records for every session linked to that cohort. Attendance statuses will be updated manually later. I am having trouble setting up the looping automation. I have never set one up before and I am getting stuck. Be careful updating field types!I have a few automations that watch a field for updates to set a field-last-updated timestamp. I discovered that if you change the field type of a watched field from multi-user to single-user, if there is data in the field, it will consider the field “updated” and trigger the automation.This is not documented anywhere that I could find!  And it messed up my timestamps 😑  

I have created an email automation thats pulling the information from our grid view. But how do I get this to go full screen as its only taking up the left side of the email.I have checked other email notification and it takes up the full screen but it looks like everything I’ve done is matched correctly. 

Hi, I’m being asked to reseach wether its possible to sync filenames and links to files in a Sharepoint document library to an Airtable project.  It need to only sync filenames NOT the actual data.  Does anyone know if this is feasible?Thanks

Hi everyone! I hope I explain this correctly since I’m not an Airtable guru. I created an Airtable automation with Gmail and completed a project yesterday. I want the client to receive an automated email confirming completion of the project today. Images of configuration and results are attached, but the email hasn’t been sent yet. I assumed it would have been sent by now and it hasn’t. I’m CST and currently it’s 10:55am. Am I missing anything?  

Hello!I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure this out - can anybody help?In my base, I have a main table named “Contacts” in which there’s a single select column for “Category” (stylist, producer etc...)I then have a table for each of these Categories with more info to add there.In those tables, I have added a Linked Record column to take the name from the main contacts table, with a condition:“Filter record selection by a conditionwhere all of the following condition is trueWhereCategoryisStylist” Even with that condition, it’s still pulling the info for all contacts. I even tried to filter by view, to no avail with the same result. Has anyone faced this before?

I have three Tables. - Commit Items, Invoice Header, and Invoice Detail. Lets assume that For Commit No ACB001 there are 4 Records in Commit Items Table with many records for other Commit Nos.. When the invoice is received for Commit No ABC001 and entered on Invoice Header table with Invoice No and Commit No ABC001, I would like automation to grab four records from Commit Items table and create those 4 records + Invoice number in Invoice Detail table. How do I achieve this? Just a reminder, I am new to AirTable.

Hi guys,I’m building a CRM within Airtable and need to create a two-way sync between Airtable and Google Calendar so if an event is created/updated/deleted in one, it automatically updates in the other.
