Airtable novice here! I’m trying to create a set-up that will field team names and scores from a typeform trivia survey to create a simple leaderboard to sync to the commonninja leaderboard widget. After *so many hours - whyyy* I finally got the simple set-up ready but for the life of me, cannot get the new entry from typeform trigger automation to work. It seems to fail at the Update Record step. See screenshots of two set-ups below - any help would be so greatly appreciated! Also open to any other solves that might reduce the number of apps I’m bringing in. Also note that I have to set Team Name as a single select with options in order to connect with typeform properly. Hey,I have a “project management” table where I keep all my projects, with a lot of different linked records.When I change the status of a project to “send invoice” I have an automation that sends an very basic email to my accountant that looks something like this: Hey!The Project "PROJECT NAME" is done.Send invoice to “COMPANY NAME”:  “AMOUNT” + VATInfo: “NOTES”Contact: “CONTACT NAME”Email: ???Best//OscarI have ran into a problem however, I can’t for my life figure out how to add the “contact’s” email adress. Since the contact is only a linked record from “people” where all the details for that contact exists. I do NOT want to add an email field to my project view, since I have a LOT of people and different other linked records there, it will become a mess. Can anyone help?THANKS!!/O

Can anyone help me? that would mean a lot to me..I thought this was just an easy “contains” formula.

We have an event that is in multiple different locations. We have a form where they select which location they want to attend. I want to automatically send them the calendar invite when they fill out the form based on their response. Ex: We have an event on Monday in New York, Tuesday in Boston, and Wednesday in Chicago. If they select Wednesday in Chicago they will receive the outlook calendar invite for that specific event.

I am from a company selling STEM supplies to schools. I have three tables:A “Material List” table with a list of materials we have in inventory An “Activity List” table with a list of our STEM activities. Each activity has a linked record field which is populated with linked records in the “Material List” table   An “Activity Material” junction table with the quantities of each material for each activity listed.  Desired Outcome of the Script:I’ve written a script that is intended to: Retrieve an activity record from the "Activity List" table using a passed record ID, whenever the list of linked Material records is changed. Get the linked materials for that activity. Compare the linked materials with existing records in the "Activity Materials" table. Delete outdated records of materials no longer linked to the activity. Create new records for materials that are newly linked to the activity, including setting the Activity and Material fields with appropriate record references

I would like to monitor when anyone changes certain field configurations (e.g. changes the field type, or edits a drop-down selection or similar) so that downstream dependencies can be adjusted or the change can be rolled back. The field manager seems helpful but doesn't seem to be proactive enough for this purpose.

Hello everyone,I created an automation that sends an email (gmail) at the click of a button. It uses some fields + attachment to create the email:Fields:Email addressSubjectBodyAttachment It works fine but it is very fragile: if one of those fields is empty, the email won’t work and the user won’t know.I set a warning message when clicking the button, it helps, but I’d like something stronger; like during the automation, if any of those fields is empty, to show a popup or error message to the user.I have looked around but cannot find anything like this. Any help?

Hi guys,The easiest explanation of my problem is this:I have an orders table and I have a “Tags” field in that table (multi select) - one of the tags is “Awaiting Payment” When a customer pays, a team member will remove this tag. When this happens, we want to automatically leave a note in our Notes table.We already create notes automatically in other automations so are confident with that part, but the trigger is more of an issue?I’m thinking that maybe I need a “Tags Previous State” field to copy to?Not really sure, I appreciate any insight anyone can offer. 

Hi Awesome Airtable folks, I am a fairly competent basic Airtable user - basic integrations and data moving between bases, however not a full coder (so need an easy solution that is easily passed on to others please). I would love your advice on the best approach for this: -We have an event, and we have 2 different H&S forms that we require our various stakeholders to complete. Each area (trade, volunteers etc) has its own base in AirtbaleForm 1 - DeclarationA simple airtable form, no images. Built in Airtable, communicates directly back to base. Worked well last time.Completed by - trade onlyForm 2 - InductionNeeds to contain imagery. Hello all!I’m building an inventory database with an associated request form. I have two separate tables - one for full inventory and one for the request. In the request table, I’ve allowed people to link records from the Inventory to a requestor record. What I want to happen is that when an item is added to that requestor record, I want the associated item in the Inventory table to update its status to “Checked Out”.  Can anyone help me logic this one out?  Thank you!

Hello I am working to find a way to connect stripe to Airtable. The use case for this is to show when a customer’s account is paid, past due, or cancelled. We have a people base in airtable that is each individual user in our system. Name, company name, emails, etc In stripe we have subscriptions that are paid and automated there. All payments are through this system. Some stripe subscriptions are an ap or accounting email but pay for 10 users in our people base. I have tried zapier but it does not have the ability to connect the two in the way that is needed. I am thinking I need to connect the unique stripe customer Id to the user in airtable. Not sure if this is best done through the stripe meta data. Then I would need a script to connect this meta data to the users in the airtable base.

Is there is way in airtable filling the form by quarter and once it is submitted it should create multiple record as per the quarter.

I have Airtable base which contains persons name and their job title. I want to retrieve LinkedIn URL of person’s based on their name. How to do that?

Is there a good method where when I apply to a job in LinkedIn that it would trigger or gather the details of the job--company name, position, date applied, etc. and export/import the data into my AirTable base as part of my job search?  

I have created an automation that sends an email with text and numbers. The numbers are pulled from two dynamic fields. One field is a percentage and the other field is a currency. However, the percentage and currency formats aren’t making it over to the email (sent by Airtable). Looking for input on how to format the numbers into percentage and USD currency. 

Basically, I want to import a Google Sheet into AirTable then I want to be able to edit fields in AirTable and those fields are automatically updated in the Google Sheet.Thanks for any help!

Hello community,I’m a coordinator for events around Cleveland, Ohio and we track food truck vendors in Airtable. Each vendor needs to submit a TFSO permit (Temporary Food Service Operation), which is a standardized PDF. Right now we export each record from Airtable and manually fill out the permit PDF, which is repetitive and slow. I just discovered Instafill.ai, an AI PDF form-filling service. They have a case study about automating Michigan STFU permits, which sounds like exactly what we need.Has anyone used Airtable automations to send base data to similar services? Or used Zapier to automate filling PDF permits from Airtable records? Any tips or examples would be a huge help. I can share the blank permit PDF if that’s useful. Thanks!

I have setup an automation so when someone emails a purchase request, it makes a record and notifies me in Airtable, however it doesn’t look like there is away to email an attachment and have it populate the attachment field. Is this possible?

I’ve set up a base that tracks a specific team’s incoming trouble Tickets. The main Tickets table has a single-select field for Status, which can be ‘Submitted’, ‘Needs further details’, ‘Queued’, ‘In Progress’, or ‘Done’. I’m now working on reporting and management would like to know the full time it takes for ticket resolution, but also how long a ticket remains in each status before progressing.I can’t decide which of these approaches would be preferable: Have an automation create a new linked record in a Reporting table with a time stamp when a ticket is created, and then create an additional new linked record on the Reporting table for each subsequent Status update. Then I’d need to do a little more work to compile all of the records on the Reporting table that link to each Ticket (I’m assuming via a bunch of rollup fields). Good afternoon,I am using Make.com to pull information from Airtable, generate a letter/timesheet, save this to One Drive then I need to import it back to Airtable as an attachment. The Make.com syntax is fine (and has been checked by the Make.com support team), and when I run it, there is a fleeting icon of a file appearing in the attachment field on Airtable, but then it disappears and the attachment is not in Airtable. If I run this through Cloud Convert to create a PDF, it works, but there is a 10 second delay in creating then uploading the document, which then means further iterations fail. What I need is for the document to pull in as a PDF directly from One Drive to the attachment field in Airtable. Any help gratefully received. It works fine when I use Google Drive, but I’m trying to avoid this as the company would like me to keep it all on the Microsoft subscription.Thank you, Jane

I have a base and different tables. I am working on scenario in Make.com. the logic is watch records ( rsvp table), get a record from ( rsvp table), get a record from presentation Topic, search records( Summit speaker), update Summit Speakers, zoho email, search records( affiliate interest) and then update affiliate interest. When I use id it gives me 200 but no field updated it is clear but when I map data from watch records and get a record (rsvp) to update affiliate interest I get an error 422 it says can not fine such collum. But all collums are there, cache was cleaned, reconnecting was done, tried upsert module. Nothing helps I think problem somewhere in Airtable but where? Will be glad to hear any suggestions? I have a form that someone may fill out multiple times using the same email address. I want to use that email address to update the original record created with the new information (if it is new). Can someone guide me through the automation to do this?

I’ve set up a marketing base and part of what I’m using it for is creating UTM parameters. There are a few fields that are inputted via form, like campaign name and start date. Each of those has a secondary field in the base where the data from the first is made lowercase, special characters and spaces are removed, etc. Then those reformatted fields are all concatenated together into one field called ‘Calculated UTMs’. As is standard with UTMs, several of those different sections are separated by underscores.I’ve set up an automated email to send these generated UTMs to someone on our GA team, and I’m pulling in the ‘Calculated UTMs’ field, but it’s displaying the final UTMs incorrectly - instead of showing with the underscores, it’s removing them and using them as indicators of where to make the text italicized. The field is also shown in an interface, and the underscores are correct there. I’ve tried using asterisks and backslashes around that field name in my automation, but it’s no
