Barcode Scanning Checklist

I have an existing list of barcode numbers in my base.  I need to be able to scan a stack of corresponding barcodes and have Airtable check off that barcode so that I know the barcode from the list was matched with the scanned barcodes.  Is there a way to create this in Airtable?

Hey @chspecialist to clarify, when you say scan, do you mean physically scan with a barcode scanner? What software are you using to connect that to Airtable?

And any screenshots of your current Base setup would help me to better understand what you're trying to solve. Thanks!

Yes, physically scanning with a barcode scanner. I haven't determined what software to use to connect to Airtable.

Thanks for the clarification @chspecialist . I've never used a bar code scanner (in this context) before so I'm not sure I can be much help here. Obviously the scanner will need to speak to Airtable in someway. So once you've narrowed down the tech you're using, you'll need to find out whether Airtable has an integration, or whether you can communicate through the API. But too many unknowns here for me to give a real answer.

Barcode scanners like the one I am using are considered keyboard inputs, so they don't need additional software.  I have determined I can use Ctrl F and "find" the barcode, but now I need a way for Airtable to mark it automatically so that I know it was recognized.  Any thoughts?
