Hi there,
I’m building a sort of Vendor Management system for my business – it’s not too different from a CRM.
I have my Contact and Company tables all linked up and ready to go, but I’m trying to see if there is a best practice for linking a specific contact as the main contact for an organization (or the primary contact).
I’ve thought of a few ways to do this, but wonder how anyone else has done it. I don’t really want to create a linking table with roles which seems overkill. I am thinking the best answer is a second link to the contacts for primary contact which only allows a single link.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Welcome to the community, @Adam_White!
Yes, both of your options were the 2 different options that I came up with in my head, so I would go with your 2nd option.
