Hi.

I'm working on creating an AirTable base with complaints. The form is made with Fillout.
I wanted to know if it's possible to restrict access to a record if the user selects a certain option in a single select field.

We'll have several people having access to the base and I wonder if I can hide certain records for an user A when a single select field has a specific option chosen.

Thank you.

Hey!

Is the "User" you are describing working on Fillout or Airtable? In other words, where should the record be hidden? In Fillout or in Airtable?

If in Airtable, you can create different interfaces (with different filters) for each user.
Please provide some more context, and I'd be happy to help out.

You can always create multiple views for a given table in Airtable, and ser different filters for it.

e.g. View A; filter to show records where Status (single select field) is not “Pending”.
You would provide this view to the user to work on.

You can have as many views as needed, filtered differently.

Hi. The user would have access to the AirTable base not the Fillout backend so we'd need to hide the record in AirTable.

Thank you.

Hi. Thanks. I've completely forgotten that we can give that specific user access only to one of the views.
