Dragging pics from Photos App (mac) to Airtable

I’ve always dragged photos from photos app directly to airtable Attachments field. Now, only some of the time it seems to work, and the rest it doesnt acknowledge my hovering cursor… and I instead have to drag them from Photos app to desktop, THEN from desktop to Airtable…

what am I missing here? why is it only sometimes and not all the time
