Exporting embedded filtered view from a private link

Hello - I have done a bit of searching but not quite found what I am looking for.
I have a view which is filtered, grouped and embedded as an iframe.
If I do some further filtering on the iframe side, then export as csv, I just get the whole original view and not my newly filtered view.

Is this by design? or a bug?
Is there a workaround?

Hi @Ben_Waters,

I think you would expect that to happen since the filtering is being done in an embedded view not in the base itself. If you want to do something like that then you should change the view in the base itself.

Maybe someone else can chime in on the topic.

Thanks Mohamed, I guessed something similar, however the number of views I would need to create would be enormous and I don’t give direct access to airtables unfortunately.
