Pro table permissions with free plan users

Hi all,

I am on the pro plan and have a table which has some record restrictions, in my particular case, everybody can create records but only a few users can delete them.

I need to share this with other people, and would like them to be able to edit the table, but I don’t expect them to be on a pro plan, nor do I want to pay for that.

If I add them to the base as collaborators, would they have these restrictions?

Note that the tables are less than 1,200 in size, so they should’nt be restricted by that on their free plans.

Welcome to the Airtable community!

A subscription is at the workspace level. You cannot have free editors in a paid workspace.

If you do not want to pay Airtable for these editors, you can pay a portal service for the ability for these people to edit records.

There are some workarounds where you can use prefilled forms and scripting automations to let read-only users edit some data.

Thank you kuovonne

It makes sense now.

Also, what is a portal service?

A portal is a website that lets non-Airtable users interact with a base.
