It’d be fantastic to duplicate a URL column and then be able to set it to Bit.ly, or whatever. ESPECIALLY, if it tapped into Dropbox’s API to create http://db.tt links.
This would be extremely useful for auto-generating marketing URLs with all the appropriate UTM tags, for example. Is there any alternative way to accomplish this today?
I noticed there wasn't any native solutions for shortening URLs on Airtable, so I developed a block extension that does it for you: Airtable URL Shortener https://airtable.com/marketplace/blkGvhDb0ZsSfXpJv/url-shortener-by-silver-taza
I had to roll my own URL shortener service to keep the costs down, so it is not on bitly or dropbox, but at least the URLs are highly customizable. The base domain is still short: bes.ee
