Welcome to Airtable’s Community! We’ve outlined tips and tricks to ensure you are set up for success, connect with other members, contribute to the conversations and get the most out of the platform. We will continue to update this post with new learnings! First things first, register with the community! If you are going to be a frequent visitor or active contributor, we highly recommend you register. This account will be tied to your Airtable account. Once you are registered, you can take full advantage of what the community has to offer. You will be able to: Post new messages and reply to other members' posts Receive emails when someone responds to a specific post or topic Exchange private messages with other members Personalize your community experience Post comments on blogs that don't allow anonymous comments Post ideas, vote on the ideas you like best, and post comments If you aren’t a registered member, you can only browse, search for information and read posts. If this is your first time here there a few things to help improve your experience: Register with the Airtable Community. On the homepage, select “Sign In or Register.” You’ll find this in the header, just below the search bar. Update your profile. You can do this by navigating to the top right hand corner of your screen, click on your avatar/photo icon, and select “My Settings.” On this page you can navigate between each tab to change your username, update your preferences, add your photo, and update your subscriptions & notifications. Here you’ll be able to introduce yourself, meet other new community members, and learn all about how to participate in the Airtable Community. Your public community profile is where Airtable community members can see the information that you have chosen to share, your community rank & stats, as well as your posts & replies. Keep your profile up to date so members of the community can get to know more about you! Below we will walk you through some of the different components that make up your profile page. * Private Stats are only available to you, this will not be visible to other members. 1. Username & Profile Avatar On the top left header you’ll find your username, ranking (click here to learn more about user ranks ), membership start date, and a quick link to My Settings . You can change both your username and profile avatar. Username To change your username you must have reached the rank of Contributor . Once you have achieved this, you can change your username by selecting My Settings > Personal > Username . Profile Avatar You can change your profile avatar by selecting the Edit Image icon located under your profile phot

The Airtable Community is founded on collaboration and a shared love of the Airtable platform. By marking posts that have helped you solve a problem as an accepted solution or providing a kudos to another member's post are ways to: Improve the search algorithm - discussions with an accepted solution or with a higher kudos count are returned with higher preference. Provide credibility - a post with a high number of likes or has been marked as a solution (or both) has been vetted by the community and is considered to be a more credible resource. Create new features - the Product Ideas forum is powered by kudos. Our Product Managers are using this area to source new great ideas to integrate into our products, and an Idea with more likes is more likely to be considered. Accepted Solutions In the Discussion Forums, you can post questions on a wide variety of topics (examples including Automations, Base Design, Development & A PI’s, Formulas, Interface Designer) or even showcase your own Air

To use the Private Messenger, you must be a registered member and signed in. You can find your Private Message icon at the top right of the header. Private Messages enables you to send private communications to other community members. There are a few advantages in using this feature over email: You don't have to know a member's email address to send them a message. You don’t have to share your email. It is quick and easy to connect with another community member. You can read and send private messages all without leaving the community. If you have any new messages, you'll see the number of unread messages next to the envelope icon. Click the message count or envelope icon to go to your Private Messages Inbox. Send a private message To send a private message: Sign in to the community. Click the messages icon (envelope) on the top right side of the header to go to your Private Messages Inbox. Click on the compose icon. Enter the recipient's username in the Send to component. Enter the su

The Airtable Community’s search feature enables members to find all relevant content and resources you may be interested in across multiple databases. A single search query will share results within the community, our help site, and developer docs. If you run the same multi-criteria query frequently, we recommend saving it as a bookmark for quick access to the desired information. Below is an illustrative example of how to run a search query for unanswered/unsolved threads in the community and then how to save that search as a bookmark. Example: Unanswered/Unsolved Threads Search Query The easiest way to find unanswered/unsolved threads in Search is by running an empty search and following the below 5 steps: Select the Community tab at the top Sort By Created Date Under Sources filter select Discussion Under Solution filter select Unsolved Under the Created Date filter you can choose the desired date range. *With this search criteria you will find unanswered posts as well as posts that

Posting and replying on the community Posting new content in the community is super easy! To create your first post you will navigate to your desired board. Select Create a Post . The message editor will appear. Here you will enter your Subject and Body text . On some boards like Announcements, Groups and Resources, you will see a drop down for Location . Select the appropriate board it should reside on and you are good to go. Be sure to check the box in the upper right hand side that says Email me when someone replies . When you are ready to go live, hit Post at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Important to note that you can add images, videos, attachments and even emojis to personalize your posts. When you post an image or video it will appear in the body of the message. An attachment will look similar to an attachment you would see in an email. Subscribing to content you are most excited about! By subscribing to content you will have the most up to date information on the topics and content that matter most to you. When you subscribe you will be notified when someone posts to a board or replies to a question. You can subscribe to different boards, specific posts and labels. To subscribe to a Board you will see three vertical dots on the right side of the page. Click on those dots and a drop down will appear. Then select Subscribe and you are done! To subscribe to a Specific Post you will click onto the post and in the right hand corner of the post you will see three vertical dots. Select those dots and then click Subscribe to RSS Feed. To subscribe to a Label you will click onto the label and at the top of the posts you will see subscribe. Click Subscribe and you are good to go! See image below. One thing to note about labels; if you subscribe to a label on one board and it appears on another you will need to subscribe twice,

Tips & Tricks for finding the information you need At the top of the welcome page you will find 7 boards. We’ve defined each boards so you can easily navigate your way through the content. Announcements you can read about the latest Airtable news and updates. Discussions you can have conversations about all things Airtable. Groups you can join a focused group about marketing, product operations or get involved with research opportunities. Events you stay informed about upcoming Airtable Community events Resources will help you get started and learn about job opportunities community members are actively hiring for. Product Ideas you can shape the future of the Airtable platform by submitting your ideas or voting on suggested features from your peers .
