Basic Image Editing

Forum|alt.badge.img+15

Quite surprised to discover today that Airtable doesn’t offer basic image editing tools such as rotate or crop. We took a bunch of photos on an iPhone directly into Airtable iOS and the perspective is sideways with no option to correct. Only solution at the moment according to the below Airtable support article is to download the file, correct, and then reupload which is a hassle.

Can I edit images in Airtable?

I’m having the same issue. See Editing images to rotate and re-crop for a related issue.

You have the option to utilize a third-party service that integrates with Airtable. We have created an extension, specifically designed to do bulk rotation of images within your Airtable attachment field.

Hello Airtable Community,

I completely understand your frustration with Airtable lacking basic image editing tools like rotate or crop. It can indeed be quite inconvenient, especially when dealing with photos that need immediate corrections. The workaround provided by Airtable's support article to download, correct, and then reupload does seem like a cumbersome process.

To streamline your image editing workflow, I highly recommend checking out PicsArt. It's a fantastic app that offers a wide range of editing tools, including rotate, crop, filters, and much more. You can easily make the necessary adjustments to your photos directly on your iPhone before uploading them to Airtable.

By incorporating PicsArt into your workflow, you'll have the flexibility and convenience to edit your images seamlessly, saving you time and effort. Give it a try, and I'm sure you'll find it to be a valuable addition to your toolkit.

Best Regards!
