Grok (xAI) as one of Airtable's LLMs

Hello,

It would be massively beneficial for my project to be able to use Grok (xAI) as one of the automation options for updating fields using Airtable's generative AI features (or really, any uncensored or less censored LLMs).

Is it ever gonna happen?

You can use Make to integrate xAI with Airtable.

Airtable keeps their development roadmap pretty close to the chest, so I don't know if you'll ever definitely hear whether or not xAI will be integrated at any point.

Thank you!

I'll look into it 🙂

Hello @SoSnake,
At the moment you don't have the option to add other third-party LLM Models instead of airtable's default AI.
But if you want to use other AI Models then a couple of customizable options you can use.

🔹Use Airtable Automation Script or Extension Script to call API using JavaScript code scripts. You need to know about JS code.
🔹Grok (xAI) is still new so don't expect every tool to have direct integration. But you can use third-party tools like Make/Zapier/n8n. The important thing here, you should have some basic knowledge of how the API and integration settings with these tools work.

Maybe it's confusing for you but that's the only option as of now.
I hope this helps you. 👍
