Hi all, I've been building an Airtable product called AirDiff over the last ~6 weeks and wanted to share with ya'll since it might be super useful for you. It's built by an Airtable power-user, for Airtable power-users! Airtable comments are super valuable. They capture quick discussions, context, or decisions that you don’t always want to put directly into fields.But I’ve noticed that when people actually want to review comments, they usually have to open records one by one. Hey! Some weeks ago I built a super simple, yet very very powerful automation, for helping a friend parse invoices, and thought it would be helpful for others to post a basic guide (and open the discussion for improvements) here. Proof of Concept: By uploading an Invoice to Airtable. An automation would use AI to extract, Invoice Line Item Descriptions, Quantity and Totals. Then the automation would create the corresponding records with precise information. Therefore my friend can now get all insights from the invoices his company receives (how much they’re spending, what they’re spending on, and a clear picture of overall finances).  Needs:Airtable paid plan for scripting and AI features.  Areas of improvement:Prompt for AI, as well as Json output would need some iterations to allow handling multiple different invoice formats. Sharing here because obviously the team I’m working for can’t appreciate it as much as you all will!! And the Airtable community is amazing!! Took me a hot minute and it’s a bit convoluted with lots of helper fields (if you have a better/cleaner way, please share!!), but I finally figured out how to get a linked field into a nice list with comma separators and an “and” just before the last item. I use this in a template email. I may do a Loom video if anyone wants it, just let me know in the comments. If your scenario may have more than 99 characters you’ll need to add two zeros in front of the numbers less than 10, and other formulas later may need to change. Hello there!There's been a lot of talk about AI agent and MCP servers lately.  I decided to cut through the buzz and figure out what if it can do something useful for my work with Airtable. I decided to spend a weekend researching this and honestly got frustrated with how not user friendly it all was. Make introduced MCP servers - but it was not very useful. Zapier was pretty good, but did not have ability to create tables and fields.There were 2 code projects for Airtable MCP servers (project 1, project 2). I can code but most of my clients or my channel viewers at first mention of installing coding environment locally will just check out. After some more digging I found a way how to set up remote MCP server that can be connected to a chat client (with Claude.ai being the most user friendly now) . We’ve been using Airtable as a backend for lightweight apps — like a project dashboard for clients, or a form submission portal that touches multiple tables.Interfaces help a bit, but they don’t quite support login, user-based permissions, or multi-table forms. We ended up building a role-aware portal layer that connects to Airtable and lets users view, edit, or create records based on their role — it’s now ClientlyBase, but it started as a personal workaround. Just curious if others here are building similar “mini apps” on Airtable. What tools are you using — Interfaces, Softr, Glide, or something else?

The specifics: ‘Conditional logic’ can mean a lot of things: Any use of an IF() or SWITCH() statement is a form of conditional logic. Here, I’m using it in what’s become an increasingly common manner: to mean the limiting of available options based on an earlier choice. For example, take a look at the following diagram.
