I am a social entrepreneur within the education social impact space that has been using AI to reimagine how to better allocate education funds to reach benchmarks such as adequacy, equity and joy via our education investments.This is my third project and this time i tried to make it a little more simple meaning not aiming for a “full stack” product. So, recently I built a redistribution simulator for state education finance using Airtable as the entire backend and interface layer.The aim is for the platform to enable policymakers describe a redistribution goal in plain English and receive a structured policy analysis — what the move accomplishes, what it costs, who supports it, who opposes it, and whether to proceed.It is using real data from all 500 Pennsylvania school districts, representing a $4.5 billion statewide adequacy

 Hi everyone!I’ve just launched a new Airtable extension called Text Cleanup Tools on the marketplace, and I’d love to get some feedback from the community.It’s designed to make bulk text manipulation simple - things like: Capitalisation / title case Find + replace Adding prefixes/suffixes Whitespace cleanup URL slug generation + URL encoding …plus a bunch of other handy utilities. A couple of nice quality-of-life features I’m proud of: Full undo/redo support Live preview before you commit changes We’ve been using it internally for a while and it’s already saved us a heap of time, but I’d really appreciate feedback

For anyone else who hasn’t had a perfect experience with the new Custom Interface Extensions, or like me has gotten this terrible message:{“error”: “FORBIDDEN”,“message”: “You can only run your development block in the original base where it was created.”}I have found a super easy solution. If you ask Omni to build you a simple custom interface extension, you can then go and hit “Edit Source” (right below the “Share Interface” button) and change the script however you’d like. I fed it to Claude, had Claude insert itself into the interface (plus it has Airtable MCP) and now have a simple RAG for my Airtable base. But you can really change the script however you’d like, without going down the CLI/Blocks SDK route. 

Hi all, I've pretty much got Airtable now doing exactly what I need it to. However, the one sticking point that I have is the custom view that I have created just misaligns then attempting to print it. Which is a critical thing in our business. I tried reaching out to support but wasn't able to get any help.I have tried the few responses to questions that I found on here but it didn't seem to fix it for me. I wonder if upgrading from the free plan to the base paid plan will solve the problem? We will need to upgrade anyway but I wanted to make sure the solution worked properly before upgrading.Any help greatly appreciated.

As such, it allows you to link records from one table to record(s) from a different table and keep such relationship on both sides.However, there are interesting use cases in which you’d want to link records from one table to records from the exact same table. For example, you might want to have one unique table for Tasks and handle hierarchy between them (e.g. Parent task, and Sub Task(s)).When creating a linked record field to its own table, you would have seen that only one field was created (the one you did manually). You would call this field Child Tasks for example, and link through it the child tasks to any parent task. Page Designer is one of the oldest Airtable extensions around. It can be useful.But the limitations can be really annoying.One of the big limitations is that it's quite difficult to create multi-page documents. Hi!I've been building a platform called powersync that aims to provide easy-to-setup real-time functionality on top of Airtable. Besides an existing `schema changelog` engine that allows to track changes to fields and tables in an airtable base, the platform now also offers these bi-directional airtable record -> slack message flows.On the powersync side you select a base, table and a condition for sending messages to slack. But as opposed to native integration, the Slack message also updates if the Airtable record updates. And there's an option setup editable fields and custom flows on emoji reactions.I'd like to do more in this area, perhaps a configurable AI chatbot to do CRUD operations directly from Slack. Ever since Airtable changed their Attachment URL expiry window to 2 hours, I had to setup automations using Make to upload files to S3.This worked great, but I recently build a custom extension to get this to work without using Make.So, I started building an Airtable extension to bridge this gap. The goal is to keep it all inside the Airtable UI (see the screenshot of what I have so far): You select your attachment field. The extension mirrors the file to a permanent bucket in the background. It writes the non-expiring CDN URL back to a field of your choice.
