I created a short video tutorial showing how to generate PDF documents directly from Airtable using the CraftMyPDF extension.

In the tutorial, I walk through how to:

  • Prepare your Airtable base with the required fields
  • Install the CraftMyPDF extension
  • Design a reusable PDF template with a drag-and-drop editor
  • Map Airtable fields into the PDF document
  • Generate the final PDF and save it back into an Airtable attachment field

This workflow is useful if you want to automate document generation without manually copying Airtable data into Word, Google Docs, or PDF templates.

Here’s the video tutorial:

Any questions, feel free to let me know.

That’s a nice walkthrough video of CraftMyPDF.com. Great job! 😃🙌

For me, the only stumbling block here is that the vast majority of my Airtable consulting clients don’t allow their users to have access to the Data layer, so those users wouldn’t be able to access the CraftMyPDF extension.

So the solution for that sort of a situation is to use Make’s CraftMyPDF integrations in conjunction with Make’s Airtable automations.

Unlike most of Make’s modules (which are created internally by the Make engineering team), the CraftMyPDF engineers personally created all of their own Make modules for ultimate reliability & compatibility, so their integrations will work better than most of Make’s modules.

If someone has never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you can instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.
