For a while now, our community groups have gone by a pretty functional name: user groups. It got the job done, but it never quite captured what these communities actually are. They're tight-knit groups of builders who show up for each other, share what they know, and genuinely make each other better at what they do.

So we're giving them a name that fits: Builder Crews 🎉

Same people, same energy, same peer-to-peer spirit. Just a name that actually sounds like something you'd want to be part of!

What's a Builder Crew?

Builder Crews are member-led communities organized around a city, industry, language, or region. Whether you're in Boston or São Paulo, working in nonprofits or media, or just looking for other Airtable builders who speak your language, there's a Builder Crew for you. And if there isn't one yet, that's a conversation worth having!

Each Builder Crew is run by volunteer leads who plan events, spark conversations, and keep the community moving. They're peer communities built on one thing: learning from each other.

🌍 We're Taking It In-Person

This is the part we're most excited about. Starting now, Builder Crews will be hosting in-person events in cities around the world.

Think hands-on workshops, casual meetups, show-and-tell sessions, and deep dives into the workflows, automations, and builds your peers are shipping right now. The kind of learning that's hard to replicate on a screen, and even harder to forget.

New in-person Builder Crews are launching soon. Check the Crews directory to find one near you or see what's coming to your city.

And RSVP for an event in your city below (more coming soon!):

💻 Virtual Events Aren't Going Anywhere

In-person is new, but virtual has always been at the heart of how our community connects, and that's not changing. Every Builder Crew will continue to host regular virtual events, and our global Builder Crews (Español, DACH, French Connections, and more) will keep bringing members together across borders and time zones.

Whether you prefer showing up in person or joining from your desk, there's a spot for you.

🙋 Want to Get Involved?

Builder Crews run on the people willing to show up and contribute, and we're always looking for more of them.

If you're interested in speaking at an event, helping run one, or just getting more involved in your local or interest-based Builder Crew, we'd love to hear from you. Fill out the form below and we'll be in touch about opportunities that fit.

I wish to become leader of Romanian speaking users from Romania and Republic of Moldova. I would like to be an ambasador of Airtable in these countries. How this could be archived? Would you support my initiative?

Hello Airtable Team,

I hope you are doing well.

I am writing to express my strong interest in becoming a Community Leader and Ambassador for Airtable users in my region. I am highly motivated to support and grow the Arabic-speaking Airtable community by sharing knowledge, helping users, and promoting best practices in using the platform.

As a Social Projects Founder and the founder of the Arab Youth Build Future Initiative, I have extensive experience in community building, youth empowerment, and managing social development initiatives. I believe Airtable can play a powerful role in organizing and scaling impact-driven projects in our region.

I would be honored to contribute to expanding Airtable’s presence and supporting users in adopting the platform effectively.

Name: Mohammed Abbas Ahmed Al-Shamiri

Initiative: Arab Youth Build Future Initiative

Yes, this is an excellent step and shows strong initiative. If you are serious about becoming a community leader or ambassador, start by actively engaging in the Airtable community, helping others, and proposing clear initiatives that support users in Romania and Moldova. After that, you can formally apply to ambassador programs or directly contact the community team to present your structured idea.
