Suggestion/feature request:
I find the automations list almost unusable. I’ve added sections to my automation list which helps a bit but ultimately end up clicking into each automation which is really annoying (as is this forum upgrade?)
- As a user, I cannot find automations that I’ve previously created because I do not have a search bar. I want to be able to quickly locate the automation I’m interested in without
- As a user, I want to be able to expand the width of the automation list in order to view the whole list. This will help me avoid creating unnecessary automations and to understand what I’m looking at.
- As a user, I want to be able to see the complete name of the automation so that I can continue to use the naming convention we’ve established. (I can neither expand the frame with the names of the automations nor see them when I hover over the automation.)
And because this forum post was so difficult to make, I suggest improvements to the community [And if there’s a post that I can actually reply to, I’m happy to move this]. In order of importance.
- I do not seem to be able to reply to topics in the updated forum, so I have to create a new one (see related posts where I tried to do so the only available action was “Like.”) I see that the product community is not monitored by the Airtable team. Does this mean that I can’t reply to suggestions that people have made via the form and that my replies to others’ suggestions are going nowhere?
- Pin the WYSIWG header to the top! As the post scrolls, it becomes hidden, which then requires scrolling up in my browser toolbar to find it. This is incredibly annoying.
- Make images more easily resizable. I cannot figure it out so the above image is huge.
- Clarify how to add a “New idea” as a topic type- I only see only question or conversation.
- Display useful information in the “Related topics” both in the search bar and when a post is embedded” Things that would be helpful: First sentence of post, date posted, etc. As it is, it requires clicking into the post to see what they’re about beyond the title.
- Remove unnecessary tags. It doesn’t seem like I should be able to add “Product News” or “featured,” and what should I use for new ideas? “suggestion” and “ideas” each only have 1 post, so those don’t seem right, nor does “feed” (1 post) or “Product Feedback Roundup (0 posts)
- Ability to hide the “Related topics.” Once I’ve made my topic, I no longer need to see those, and it requires even more scrolling
Yours, frustrated because this feedback took ½ hour to make when replying to a post would have solved the problem.
