Has anyone discovered a way to communicate with all collaborators on a base at once in Airtable?  I’m interested in something like a group chat or message board that can live on an interface and any collaborator with commenter and above permissions can see.

For example, if I have an announcement for everyone involved in a project, is there a space to post those announcements?

I haven’t made this, but you could have people add announcements/topics via a form (you could select who is notified when created either in the form or via automations) that goes into an interface page (record review) and then people can comment/discuss? Announcements could have a ‘open/closed’ status and someone would update that to make them appear/disappear if closed.

Have you enabled comments in an interface?

@Helen_Fletcher That is exactly what I’m thinking.  Testing it out right now.

@Nadja_Michel-He Yes, but the key is that I’m looking for a way to post messages that will automatically notify all collaborators that is not connected to a specific record.

You could just have an automation that is ‘when form is submitted’, email/slack/teams [list of people] - could have subgroups if you needed with conditional actions. Or it adds all users to a field called ‘watchers’ or something if you wanted the notification directly in Airtable.

@SUpton_VU  - I have created something similar to this. I created a table where I store all the announcement and project information. Based on the role, I pull the data from the employee database (linked records) and tag the group for an announcement based on whoever I want to be part of that project or announcement.

After tagging, whenever I create a record or submit a post, everyone assigned to that role receives an email notification and a Teams message with information about the announcement, along with a link that takes them to the interface where they can interact through the comment section.

I also use this table to share information with external stakeholders within the organization, across different teams, where they can check the status of all the projects. I have created a filter so it can be adjusted based on which projects should be shared with external stakeholders and which should not, along with a few additional features
