We want to use air table to receive our packages in the warehouse with a airtable app.  We would like the information below to be gathered and automatically uploaded into a master receiving log base and a job base.

Receiving department, information that needs to be captured:

Items below:

  Received by , name

  Warehouse receiving report number

·  📦 Carrier (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) , phone

·  📅 Date Received (auto or manual) , phone

·  📷 Photo of Package Label (use Airtable’s attachment field – scan or take phone photo) phone

·  🔢 Tracking Number (barcode scan preferred) , phone

·  📄 Sender Name ,

·  🧾 PO Number (if available)

·  🧍 Intended Recipient / Client / Project

·  🗒️ Notes (e.g., damaged, missing info, odd packaging)

·   quantity  in cartons

Number of cartons

Weight

Warehouse location

Packing list  y/n

unidentifiable  item automated email out.

Print warehouse label that we stick on the box

Automatically go to billing 15.00 per item.

Hm, you mention a master log and a job base, these are two separate bases and you want the same data in each?  Any chance you could keep it in a table instead and use views?

For the unidentified item email bit, there doesn’t seem to be a way to log whether an item is unidentified.  Would that be extrapolated from ‘Notes?

For the 15 per item bit, there doesn’t seem to be a way to log the number of items?  Would be simple enough to do with a formula field!

This all seems pretty straightforward I’m pretty sure I can help with this!  The labeling thing might be a bit painful though given how different the label printers behave

I'm pretty active on the forums so you can get a grasp of how I work from my activity here as well as some reviews, and I've got a bunch of example projects that you can find here!

If you think I could help, here's a link to schedule a free half hour call to see if we're a good fit!

Best of luck either way!

I would be happy to help! You can reach out to me here.

Hi @john flood ,

I work with Airtable a lot and this kind of setup can definitely be streamlined with the right automations and integrations.
Happy to discuss how this could be built out to fit your exact workflow and make ongoing updates easier.

You can reach out to me on my email here

Hi @john flood !

I’m a little late to this posting but having just seen this I thought I’d put my information here in case. I have a client with pretty much exactly this workflow in the snack meats industry. We built out his workflow for this from order intake to line item and batch tracking/shipping etc.

If you need any help here, I’m happy to have a conversation!

Thanks
