Let’s take a look back at what happened in Airtable last month.
🎄 The '12 Days of AI Plays' Holiday Challenge
This December, we introduced something brand new to the Airtable Community: a holiday build challenge designed to spark creativity, level up AI skills, and bring a little seasonal magic to everyday workflows.
From December 1 through December 12, we published 12 daily AI build challenges, each highlighting a different AI feature or AI use-case inside Airtable. Participants worked inside a festive demo base straight from the North Pole, where Santa’s workshop, the toy factory, Mrs. Claus’ bakery, the gift-wrapping team, and more all ran on Airtable.

📚 Introducing the new 'Built with Omni' showcase
We’re excited to launch Built with Omni, a new showcase designed to inspire, educate, and accelerate how you build AI apps on Airtable.
With Built with Omni, users can:
- Browse a growing library of ready-to-use elements from Airtable and the builder community
- Remix examples directly into your own bases to jumpstart new projects
- Submit your own creations for the community to learn from
- Learn effective prompting and development techniques by inspecting real-world code and configurations
And wouldn't you know it... the showcase itself is built as a custom public interface!
🤩 Featured Change Maker: Automating mentorship management flows with Gaston Viau, Co-Founder & CEO of Boltflow
Change Makers is our series highlighting customer stories and builders making an incredible impact with Airtable.
With his automated mentorship matching flow, Airtable EDUser Group co-leader Gaston demonstrates what’s possible when you combine Airtable’s relational structure with its outstanding AI capabilities.

✅ Custom Domains: Public Beta
Give your Airtable experiences a fully branded, professional look by hosting bases on your own domain (e.g., portal.yourcompany.com). External collaborators get a seamless, trust‑building experience while enterprise admins maintain full control over authentication and DNS configuration.
Use cases:
- Host client or vendor portals on a branded URL for a polished, professional experience
- Deliver external‑facing request hubs (e.g., creative briefs, asset libraries, project dashboards) under your organization’s domain
- Create internal tools (IT help desk, onboarding portals, policy libraries) that look and feel native to your company’s ecosystem
✅ Form Sections
Forms are now easier to organize than ever. Create sections to group forms by workflow, project, or team; collapse them to reduce visual clutter; and drag forms between sections as your processes evolve.
Use cases:
- Group campaign request forms by marketing initiative or quarter
- Organize HR and onboarding workflows by department or employee lifecycle
- Manage program‑specific forms (intake, surveys, approvals) for complex multi‑team operations
✅ Web Prototype Field Agent
A new field agent, web prototype, turns PRDs, design briefs, content ideas, and campaign concepts into fully functional web prototypes without leaving Airtable. Generate, refine, and test interactive web experiences directly from your documentation and data.
Use cases:
- Generate feature prototypes from PRDs for early stakeholder alignment
- Build clickable interface mockups to validate UX flows before design or dev work begins
- Create interactive campaign previews or recap pages using real Airtable data
- Test landing page variations and messaging concepts before committing resources
✅ Connect Linked Records to Your Data Library
You can now link records directly to published datasets in your organization’s Data Library – making it easier to build apps that reference consistent, trusted, fully governed data sources.
Use cases:
- Link project or feature records to a centralized product taxonomy managed by operations
- Reference master CRM datasets (accounts, contacts, segments) without duplicating data
- Standardize reporting and workflows by connecting apps to company‑wide lookup tables such as regions, OKRs, or product SKUs
