Hi,

I currently have my IT-inventory in Airtable.

I would like to upgrade this with a kind of lending/borrow system.

Where the employee’s can scan a QR code and take the (monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc…) device and I know who took it. And when they afterwards return the device and scan again, it shows in Airtable that it’s returned.

Is this possible in Airtable or is there something that already exists?

My favorite way of automatically generating QR codes for each record is to use Make’s free barcode & QR code tools.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable

I also give live demonstrations of how to use Make in many of my Airtable podcast appearances. For example, in this video, I show how to work with Airtable arrays in Make.

Hope this helps!

If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

Welcome to the community, @Quinten_De_Wilde!

This is possible in Airtable by using the QR tools that MiniExtensions provides:

Any usage example available or something to see how it goes? I see a lot of different usages but none that align to my question? Or I’m misreading things.

Thanks again!

Is it possible? Yes.

Does it already exist? Probably.

Does it already exist fully formed in an easy to locate place? Less likely.
