Keeping all records when using the search feature in an interface

Similar to using the ctrl F feature in a spreadsheet, is there an option to keep all records in the grid when using the search feature in an interface? Right now it's only filtering the view for records that contain the specific keywords.

I know that this is possible in a data table but I don't see this feature in the interface.
