I have an interface that requires me to pull the same reporting stats monthly, and I have found Interface designer to be a perfect tool for this, with it’s simplified UX compared to the makeshift app dashboard I had previously been using. However, I am having to recreate each month’s stats from scratch each time, when I really just want to pick up exactly the same elements and connect them to a new filter. I wish I could copy/paste the elements (or group of elements) to make this task less arduous. Does this function already exist and I am just missing it? Thanks! ... View more

Please add the ability to duplicate an entire interface group (along with all the interfaces contained within it) to create another interface group. For example, I have an HR base where I’m tracking payroll, benefits, and vacation data. I would like to have separate interface groups for each employee that only they can see (for example, the interface group for one employee could be named, “Payroll & Benefits for John Doe"). Then each group would contain standard individual interfaces such as, “Payroll Information,” “Vacation Info & Balance,” “Health & Insurance Benefits Information,” etc, that the employee could select from. When we hire a new employee, we would simply go to the “template” interface group, duplicate it, then rename it with the new employee’s name. Then all I have to do is change the filter value for each newly duplicated interface to point to the new employee, then I could share a read-only the interface group link to that new employee. The interface module doesn’t seem to currently have the capability of adding / deleting a record. I would suggest maybe having a new type of element (Button) that could be added to the interface (i.e. button that could be settup to create record in xyz table, with maybe a popup requesting selected fields to be filled and then positionning to current record being edited) ... Love the new interfaces feature. It would be great if it were possible to add fields into groups or sections which are visible based on different criteria. For example, I’m using the interfaces feature to input data for different rooms / spaces. If I were to select one out of two rooms, the input boxes for the second room would become invisible. ... I’m loving the new Interface Designer! I’m seeing a lot of overlap between that and the older Page Designer, but there are some features I’d love to see ported over. Specifically, I love how Page Designer has the ability to create a text box with {Fields} that you can {Put In Brackets} to fill in the blanks. I see that Interface has the ability to add a text box, but no way to for the content to be dynamic. I also love the ability in Page Designer to add an attached image and change how it’s cropped or resized to fit a certain dimension. It looks like Interface crops images without an option to scale to fit. Can’t wait to see what’s next for Interface Designer! I didn’t even know how much I would want this until I saw it.
