Feature Request: Email 'List of records' as a Grid

I would like the ability to format the “List of records” in the email action as a grid, the same way as you can do with the “Send records as email” right-click option

It should be possible to make a form that requires authentification in order to make sure that “Created by” is populated with the appropriate Airtable user when the form is submitted. The question was posted here but it does not seem that this is currently possible.

We use the main table (authors) and we have a linked field to another table (books). If we don’t have an appropriate option (book) in the table we can create a new record of the book from the field in the author table. But, strangely and surprisingly, when we try to do the same thing through form, it is not possible. There is no option for creating a record in form mode (the plus “+” sign doesn’t exist). This feature with control in permission for that (not in all fields you want to allow that kind of adding) is very important for our work. We have a few views that exist so people know some records are waiting to be addressed. It would be nice if we had the option to enable a small badge that showed how many records were visible in the current filter of that view. Here’s my mockup of what it might look like:

Just used the “org chart” app for the first time. It works fine, but it would be great to be able to group workers based on a field. Example: my CEO doesn’t only direct 2 managers (who have people under them who are nicely grouped), but also 15 consultants. That makes the width of the chart to big for comfort. It would be nice to be able to group some of them, based on a single select field for example (which we use to map their specialities). Edit: it’s also a shame that the lines aren’t aligned when a field output (in this example the functions) has 2 or more lines

I would love the option to have a character counter show on a form, I use a form to receive wording / photos for marketing materials. Each material has a different haracter limit that we can accept however there is no way for our customers to see the character amount they are entering.

The expanded record view uses only a small portion of the screen, even on biz size laptop is only half the screen. For long text boxes (which we use a lot of) this really reduces the editability/readability of fields with a lot of content. Can the restraints on that Expanded data box have an override arrow that fits to screen? I know you can expand long text boxes from within the grid view to a slightly better size, but you are not really in the record card view, and is still not great. Thanks!

We use Airtable as a CRM and event management. These uses have been accomplished using separate bases but there’s been a growing desire for this process to be streamlined with an emphasis on leveraging the data already in the CRM. Ultimately, what I’m suggesting is Lookup Fields displayed on a Form View once a Link to Another Record Field is populated. Here’s a use case: CRM has a Table containing contacts with contact information (phone number, email address, etc.) and a Table for an event’s participants. The participant table has a Form View. The first field/question on the form is a Link to Another Record Field where the registrant selects their name. The next field/question would be a Lookup field displaying the phone number found on the linked record. The next field/question would ask if the phone number was still correct. The next field/question could be a question conditionally visible if the phone number was incorrect. We’d then repeat the process for the other data displayed by the Lookup fields.
