In December 2020, Airtable made a very detrimental change to the “View” hover menu, which is causing a significant amount of frustration for myself and my clients.

Can the Airtable engineers please fix this behavior?
All buttons in a system should be able to be triggered by the user’s mouse, regardless of direction & speed from which you approach the button.

I’d like to hide the secrets (authentications data etc.) for my scripts from the user frontend. Therefore I suggest to add “Secrets” (like Github) that can be edited by Admins only and are available through input.config.secrets .

Any window that opens in Airtable can be closed by pressing ESC (Escape) key on keyboard except for the attachment-detail view (it’s the window showing single attachment e.g. picture detail). That window can’t be closed by ESC.
Please consider making ESC available to close it. It’s super inconvenient to have to click the close icon in the window to close it.

I keep closing my Airtable application window because the Image view Close icon is so close to the Application icons. Please consider moving the Close icon further from the application icons.
I am talking about overlay window that opens when I click on the document attachment (e.g. picture). I am on Mac and using the Airtable app for MacOS (not sure if same issue is on Windows, since the Windows icons are on the right, so this may well be only limited to MacOS Airtable app.

We have a few views that exist so people know some records are waiting to be addressed. It would be nice if we had the option to enable a small badge that showed how many records were visible in the current filter of that view.

Suggest adding information saying whether an automation is running, what automation and progress of the automation including when it is finished.
Suggest adding somewhere in the main interface:
Add Notification step in Automations that will show a toast window or message telling me when the Automation that was running has finished running.
Add a small progress window showing when an automation is running, the name of the running app and perhaps the percentage in queue before it’s finished.

It would be great to have field which can be unique (not auto numbering). That would ensure no new entry with same details is added. For each row first thing that needs to be placed can be unique field itself.

I have found that when editing an AirTable database now using the Windows 10 app the swipe ability of the on screen keyboard (that I can use with most other apps) is turned off, so that I have to enter the text of the note by tappng each key individually. Has anybody else found this? I the swipe functionality of the Windows 10 enables much quicker text entry and I would love to be able to use it with the notes of AirTable. Nigel
