I think it is time for Airtable to add recursive capabilities to data inside a table. I know it is challenging to implement, but the workaround users have been doing are truly not delivering the intentions and expected experience. It just feels limited not to be able to create subtasks, goals and subgoals, accounting systems, etc. There are so many ideas that would be finally unlocked and it would definitely take Airtable to a whole new level!

I need a way to archive the bases. We collect Survey data among other metrics via air table, for a growing company. I know that we could move them to another workspace, but I don't believe that would work since they are currently on the pro plan and would have to be moved over to a workspace on the free plan. We still want to keep the data as is and accessible. If we can't archive is there a way to create folders to separate bases? I would love that, not only to have an archive folder but to better organize my currently used bases as well.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow users to edit certain fields directly from the Kanban card without needing to open the card. Currently the only field that can be edited is the single select field that groups the cards (a user can drag and drop the card and edit that field). All other fields need to be edited by opening the record. This request is both for Views and Interfaces. How does is solve the user problems? For "Trello" minded users this is a must because they are used to making quick changes on a card without needing to leave the kanvan view. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? What is the proposed idea/solution? Allow for Gannt charts to be created in interfaces. How does is solve the user problems? Current problem: When submitting a new record, the Microsoft Teams automation generates a message to a specified channel, but there is no ability to include "@ general" to notify the team assigned to the channel. Proposed solution: I would like the ability to include an @ mention in the automated Microsoft Teams channel message when a record is submitted. I would also like the ability to generate a direct message to a user rather than a post to a channel.

hey, Linked fields populated by formula !!!!!! I think it's so obvious and self-explanatory for everyone that has ever dealt with relational databases. this is a feature needed for yesterday, it just makes no sense we need to use all those workarounds and automations to get there, and although product is already so advance this is still not available :((

Frustratingly, we can't create Grouped Logic, with AND and OR operators within Conditional Automation Actions. The above screenshot shows this limitation, where all conditions are locked into either AND or OR. I'd like to see this work identically to other areas within Airtable, where we can apply grouped logic nested within AND and OR operators. The above screenshot shows the grouping within a Grid View filter. I'd like to see the same mechanism for Conditional Logic within Automations.

HTML emails are great, why not offer a plain text version 🤔 ? 🚀Having pure text inside the body of the email allows you to better integrate Airtable with other software. Hi, One of the comments from the team at work is that the grid views are messy when it's a whole page of 'pill' shapes, particularly when they're all different widths (based on the text length of each option). Is there the ability to shade/colour the entire cell instead of just a pill shape? And if not, can the width of the pills be based on the width of the column instead of the text length, so they're clear and consistent regardless of the dropdown option selected? Regards, Andrew

What is the proposed idea/solution? To be able to turn off notifications for all records within a database besides when you are @ mentioned How does is solve the user problems? As an administrator I create 100's of records and and constantly bombarded with emails everytime there is a comment or change. How was this validated? This would make the program more user friendly as previous systems we have used such as Monday.com have this feature Who is the target audience? Everyone
