i have a lot of bases, and i'm probably not the only one 🙂 (and also a lot of workspaces, from clients) My feature idea is regarding the bases overview, in 1 workspace: I think it would be great if we would be able to segment the bases overview, eg with tabs that you can customize/choose to your needs; examples could be 'administration' 'marketing' 'operations' 'sales' ... or 'clients' 'bizz' 'private' or many more goal is to have a better overview of you bases

This request is for the emails generated when a form submission is received via a View Form. The email is typically titled "Airtable forms: someone has responded to..." Receiving this email is very useful when a new submission form has been received. However, the email contains both the filled out details of each question but also, and unnecessarily, the field names that have been hidden within the form and not filled out. This then prevents the user from applying their own email filters to the email. For example, I only want to filter emails where submissions have only answered certain questions - but as the submission notification email is filled with all of the fields the user didn't respond to, it's impossible to filter. I feel that a toggle would be welcome here, to remove these entries from the email if they're not being filled out.

Hello! I would like AirTable to be able to preview DXF files just like it does with PDF, JPG, Excel, etc. The possibility to add comments would also be great. And while at it, how about STL, STEP, IGS, DWG...? Thanks!

when you add a new linked record in interface designer, you have the option to toggle certain fields that you want to show up in a form if you don't want to actually open the record (helpful when you are adding multiple linked records like the products that a vendor has. It would be nice to resize the fields so I can pack more into the form without needing to scroll. For example, if the cost of a product I'm adding is $5 I don't need a blank fillable space that is 3-4 inches wide across my screen. i could probably fit 2-3 more items in that same horizontal space.

I would be interested in having the choice to use a fixed-width font for specific fields (in data and interfaces). This would be particularly interested for fields containing SKUs for instance.

show on the left side column the name of the workspaces that the bases are shared from & list them under the title. Easier way to find bases (and know where they are coming from) This is especially helpful in a large company that is only sharing certain bases across teams!

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...We use a Timeline view to see all the AB tests we have running on our homepage. We have these color-coded in order to quickly view where there might be conflicts by different audience attributes (like segment or industry). At a glance, we can see all the tests running (grouped by site section) and what the audience definition is. But, when we have a test with multiple audience attributes, there is no easy way to see that. So for example, we have our segment attribute showing as purple and we have our industry attribute showing as yellow. If I had a test set to show for segment AND industry I would want to see the color of the item in the timeline as purple and yellow vertical stripes. How does is solve the user problems? ...This would make it much easier to see, at a glance, where there are conflicts and overlaps when we have multiple tests running in the same site section. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? ...I think this would be helpful for anyone who is using a timeline view to track different attributes and makes it easy to see where there are conflicts and overlaps.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Formatting options for string output in Formula fields How does is solve the user problems? Formula fields offer useful formatting options for numbers that cause them to display as if they were certain datatypes like currency, or a specific format of date. Airtable essentially has two formatting options for text: "Single line text" and "Long text" (and long rich text but i'll ignore that for now) Currently it appears that interface elements such a 'List' treat formulas outputting strings as a Single line text. Formulas might output relatively lengthy textual information such as executive summaries of technical issues. If I could specify that the format of this string is 'Long text,' the three lines worth of wrapping in an extra tall List element -- like we already have for dedicated Long text fields -- would be very useful.

When clicking on a button to update a record's multi-select list, it appears that we are only able to specify an absolute list of options that the field will take on. It would be helpful if we could specify values to add or delete as well. I've attached screenshots showing the Tags field before I click the button, after I click the button, and what the button does. Seems to be there could be some options beyond 'Set Blah To Selected Records' (Records? Surely 'Options'?) We could have 'Add Selected Options to Blah' or 'Remove Selected Options from Blah' I know in my screenshots the multi-select fields are editable but maybe I don't want the user to be able to apply any tag at that point in the workflow. Thanks for your consideration

What is the proposed idea/solution? It would be lovely if data types like multi select lists would take advantage of Extra Tall row height by breaking the list of selected items over multiple lines. Even for single select items, I can't think of a reason that text inside shouldn't also break when necessary. The attached screenshot shows why i would like this feature. The 'Services' column is an example of a multi-select that could be broken up to take up the vertical space (there are three items, they should all be visible) and the 'Severity of Customer Impact' is an example of a single select field where I think the text could be broken while retaining the lozenge effect around it. This would allow me to make better use of space and include more data in the list and I think it would also look nicer. Thanks for your consideration. I'm loving the direction of Airtable these days.
