What is the proposed idea/solution? Add formatting options for user fields. Specifically, provide the option to display first names only (e.g., Eduardo). Additional options, such as displaying first names with initials (Eduardo M.) or profile pictures only (which default to initials for users with no set profile picture) would also be helpful, if possible. How does it solve the user problems? Adding these new formatting options would help make large grids more compact by shortening the column width of user fields, resulting in a more efficient use of screen space. Small teams might also appreciate the option to display first names only if they are looking to strike a more casual tone. How was this validated? N/A Who is the target audience? Anyone who uses user fields in their Airtable bases.

Hello! It would be great to have the option to hide Prefill Fields in a form, especially when pre-filling fields with dynamic data. In my case, I have a table with users, and I need to add more information about them. To do this, I create a new table and a form. Then, I set up an automation to transfer some data from the new form to the main table. I will repeat this process several times, as I need to conduct multiple surveys at specific time intervals. The problem is that I need a reliable unique identifier. I would like to send each user an individual URL with Prefill Fields containing their unique ID. However, I don’t want them to see or modify this ID. Unfortunately, I don’t see an option to create a truly hidden field in standard forms—only conditional fields. Hi, I would like to have the option to show the page design in the Interface sections. We use a lot of documents that are made with the page designer. We now need to load the data and then locate the extension. With my colleagues working with the interfaces it would be fantastic to have the possibility to print the selected record as the page designed with the page designer. It'd be nice when searching for fields within the HIDE, if even though it's filtering that it still showed where that field was in relation to the others instead of hiding those other fields that don't match, perhaps greying out those fields and bolding the "found" fields? When you have a bunch of fields, it'd assist in finding that field quicker to see its position relative to the others.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Offer metadata for automations via the REST API. Helpful values to return would be: [Base ID], [Automation ID], [Folder (If Applicable)], [On or Off] It would also be great to provide an option to obtain the Automation History with query parameters to enable precise tracking and error catching within an organization's workflow. I think that the Make API documentation offers a few great blueprint for each of these two endpoints: [List Scenarios] for Automations [List Scenario Logs] or [Get Execution Log] for Automation History How does is solve the user problems? Provides insights into the current status of automations, and facilitates smoother resolution of automation errors. How was this validated? Many other platforms offer this, and the Airtable Metadata API already exists to provide similar information for other aspects of Airtable. Who is the target audience? Heavy users of the Airtable API.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Add more options to the Fixed Web Session Length settings to provide lengths between 4 and 8 hours. Alternatively, allow custom web session lengths for individual users. How does it solve the user problems? On the Enterprise plan, users are subject to session lengths determined by Information Security policies. By not having an option between 4 and 12 hours, more users will be defaulted to 4 causing them to be logged out in the middle of the day. Allowing individual users to have custom web session lengths would permit Enterprise plan users to set longer windows for the subset of employees who are Airtable developers and spend most of the day using it while maintaining smaller windows for the majority of employees who only occasionally need to view data in Airtable. I am working on a form where the user will need to enter several expenses and then submit a total request amount based on those expenses. It would be so helpful if the expense fields that the user enters could be automatically totaled on the form in a way the user can see. I have a formula field doing that calculation in the table, but can't pull that field into the form. I imagine there are many other useful applications for a non-editable formula field appearing in a form as well. It's strange that this is not already an option, since a non-editable long text field is already an available option.

I have a Blank Page interface that's a Filter element + Calendar view that's meant to show how one type of resource is used by four different teams. The Filter element under Blank Page is really nice, since I can restrict to Team > Is > {pick a team}, and some filter on Team will always be applied. However, if someone viewing the calendar wanted to, they could change the operator to "Is not empty" and get around the filter settings. I need the calendar to only show one team at a time, because the resource usage display is unhelpful otherwise (plus some related social/work culture reasons that a "one team at a time"-specific filter would solve). Additionally, while there are 20+ teams that use this resource, only four of them are actually relevant for this calendar, so restricting the list of options of pickable teams would be ideal. Can we get custom restrictions on the Filter Element in blank page, so that we can limit which operators and options are available to the end user?

It would be really helpful if read-only viewers of public interface pages had the option of exporting grid-view content to a CSV (preferably matching their filtering and sorting). Currently (Feb 2025) the export to CSV option is only available to org members who are assigned to the interface and logged into Airtable. The option shouldn't be enabled by default, but we should have the choice to enable this if we want to. In our use case, we want external / public users — without Airtable access — to be able to view a simple price list and download it as a CSV.
