Question

I can't seem to find a general statement when choosing data for an email automation for multiple people for the 'To' section

Hello,

I am currently trying to send an Airtable automation where it bulk emails people from a table. However, I am in the ‘To’ section to send an email, but I can’t find an option under ‘Current item from List of records’ that has just a general statement of ‘Applicant Email’. Currently, it’s showing a specific Applicant Email, but I want to send more than this person. This is also happening for the message when I am trying to include their names. I’ve attached one of the screenshots as a reference.

Can someone help me resolve this issue please?

Hmm, if you’re intending to send one email per record found then your setup looks good, the ‘Current item’ selection shows a preview of the first item in your tested ‘Find record’ result, and when the automation runs it’ll loop through everything and take each record’s email

If you’re intending to have multiple recipients for one email, then you can get rid of the Repeating group and just use the results of the ‘Find Record’ action directly, does that make sense?

Hello,

Thank you for your response. I want to make an email automation where all recipients cannot see who received the email. If I choose the ‘Find Record’ and tick the email addresses that correspond with the data table, it gives me this error.

Hmm, that’s odd.  Could you provide a screenshot of the record it ran on?  If it helps, I just set it up here and tested it and it works fine, so perhaps you can compare it against your own set up

Here’s our table. Sorry, I had to blur out their names and emails for security reasons. I also tried imitating your setup, but I can’t seem to make it work.

You have 2 options:
Send 1 mail to 14 people - doesn’t work because they shouldn’t know about others
Send 14 different mails to 14 people - that’s exactly what needs to be done. When you set up action inside the loop, it shows only one item, as example and it’s OK. when automation runs, it will process the similar action for each person in list.

Indeed, it can also be done with list, via BCC, but one person should be visible in ‘To:’
You can open CC and BCC by ‘Show more options’. But I cannot guarantee it will do the right thing.

Hmm your screenshot looks fine, could you try selecting ‘Applicant email’ in that dropdown and testing it?

Hello,

It only lets me preview that one specific person, and no one else.

Yeap, what happened when you tested it?  That is to say, turned the automation on and triggered it to run?
