Is there an alternative to Fill out for client profile?

With all the new features within the last 2 year sure there is a better way for clients to update their own records. Although it works it is still clunky and would be great to streamline this process.

Context: I have been using fill out, where I send clients their unique URL and they fill info like dietary restrictions and it auto-populates/updates their row in Airtable. Is there a way to do it natively inside Airtable?

Is there a simple way to say, like if they don’t fill the information in 5 days it sends them a reminder?

Thanks everyone,

Sonia

Fillout’s still the easiest way to do it I’m afraid.  Doing it via Airtable’s possible, but needs a formula field where you prefill all the existing data and an automation to help update the original record afterwards:

Hm, an automation would work here, right?  If we have a field where we’re tracking the send date we can add a formula field to output the date 5 days after the send date, and an automation that triggers when Today = that formula field’s date to send a reminder?

I feel like I may be missing something, sorry!

To help future readers who are reading this thread in the future, what the author is talking about above is allowing her clients to update their own profile information in Airtable — without her clients needing to become Airtable users (which would cost her money).

The #1 best way to accomplish this is what the author is already doing, which is to use Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable.

This is because Fillout is 100% free and it gives people the ability to update existing Airtable records using a form.

I demonstrate how to setup this feature on this Airtable podcast episode:
