Hey EDUser Group! 👋

Curious—has anyone here started experimenting with the Claude + Airtable connector yet?

If so, I’d love to hear:

  • What kinds of workflows or use cases you’ve been building
  • Anything surprising or especially useful you’ve discovered
  • Where it’s saving you time (or unlocking something new)

We’re also looking to spotlight some of this work in an upcoming user group session. If you’ve been tinkering or have something cool to share, would you be open to presenting? We’re thinking more of a casual roundtable / show-and-tell to spark ideas across the group.

Speaking at a virtual user group meeting is a great opportunity to:

  • Share what you’re building
  • Inspire others
  • Position yourself as working at the cutting edge of AI + Airtable

Drop a comment if you’d be interested in sharing, or just want to swap ideas—would love to get a conversation going here. And tagging @jerilee to kick us off as I know she has some awesome insights already... 🚀

Hey @MaddieJ
I have been using it to create a personal decision intelligence profile agent and how to apply your preferences to other people, agents, or tools.  Here is what I posted for my project so far.  I would be actively interested in swapping ideas and collaborating with @jerilee .

I found the integration to be easy overall and time saver when it came to populating synthetic data but I found some limitations when it came to certain tasks - which was a surprise for me at the time

Loving the Claude + Airtable connector feature! My list is endless but here are a few that saved me time:

  • Consolidated our student profiles base from 40+ automation down to 5 using scripts that automations alone couldn’t.
  • Pulled trends and highlights using my own data for presentations far more robustly.
  • Built a bookmarklet (didn’t even know this existed) that turned a 1-2 minute manual task into a 20 second one click action (on top of the 4-5 minutes OMNI had already cut).
  • Analyzed my schemas and flagged what was working and wasn’t.
  • Built a sync that consolidates finance reporting and faculty tracking into a master list with change tracking and audit history. No more manually checking what columns had updates!

One caveat though, I had to upgrade to the Max plan because of usage limits. But structuring my prompts well and knowing my bases helps me avoid wasting usage. Working with subject matter experts on bases I didn’t fully understand also helped get the most out of it.

Give it a try! Ask it about something tedious or manual, or something you wish was automated. I’m sure you’ll find something surprising. Can’t wait to read what others are doing!

I use it extensively already and it solved a huge problem for me. Essentially I use Airtable as my CRM system (I created my own). And in the past every time I sent or received an email, I had to  manually go into Airtable and log the correspondence and set new date trigger reminders.

Now Claude does all that for me automatically. It reads my emails (both received and sent) but is smart enough to know what emails go with what companies. Then it updates Airtable with a Claude generated summary (associated with each Opportunity) and it sets new date triggers. If it’s a new lead, it creates the Opportunity automatically. It is smart enough to ignore internal emails and those unrelated to Opportunities in the CRM.

I created a Project and I run it every day. It was relatively simple to set up, and now it saves me a lot of time (that accumulates because it saves me time every day). One of my colleagues wants it as well.

Its really useful, our marketing team has been using it to pick up product list emails (gmail connector) and automatically populate a product database with images and prices etc, very useful for product development! Would have taken a lot of manual time otherwise.
