Is it possible to add simple text blocks within a form to break the form into multiple named sections?

Hi @Harris_Willman,

Welcome to Airtable Community! :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

There is no direct way to do so.

Mo

Thanks Mohamed, I appreciate your quick response.

While there’s no built-in divider item, there is a workaround. Someone in another thread pointed out that you can add a pseudo-divider by creating a single-select field in your table that doesn’t have any options, and using that (while also renaming it) for the divider portion of the form.

Thanks Justin, I’ll try that.

Hi there!

With the form we created at miniExtensions to integrate seamlessly with Airtable, you can customize your form layout by turning specific fields into section headers. This allows for collapsible sections, making it easier to organize content and enhance readability. We also support a multi-page layout, so you can present your data in a structured and user-friendly way.

Airtable’s forms give you lots of places to add text onto your forms.

You can add text headers and text descriptions to the top of each group on your form.

And you can add helper text to each field on your form.

If you’re paying extra money to be on a Business or Enterprise plan, you can also conditionally hide & show groups.

However,  for a 100% free solution that gives you way more control over the text on your forms, your best bet is to use Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable.

Fillout is 100% free, and it offers everything you’re looking for, including the ability to add text blocks, conditional text blocks, collapsable sections, conditional sections, formatted text, and much more.

Fillout even gives you additional design options like themes & custom HTML/CSS formatting.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Fillout also gives you the ability to update Airtable records using a form, create custom PDF files from a form submission, accept payments on forms, display Airtable lookup fields on forms, create new linked records on a form, control access to a form via SSO or email domains or a list of email addresses stored in Airtable, perform math or other live calculations on your forms, collect signatures on a form, create multi-page forms with conditional paths, connect a single form to dozens of external apps simultaneously, add CAPTCHAs to your form, and much more.

I show how to use a few of the advanced features of Fillout on these 2 Airtable podcast episodes:
