I found something that talked about 216px, but it keeps doing this.

Hey @tzuhouse,

You’ll want to check out Airtable’s official support article here. (also, see screenshot below).

Basically:

  • As a general guideline, 1800px by 480px is suggested as the minimum for cover images, with 1800px by 512px being a good target if your image is of higher quality/size.

  • The area of the form cover image is 256px tall and the width is the width of the browser window that the end user is accessing the form from.

That’s such a confusing support article from Airtable, because it gives 3 different heights for the image: 256px, 480px, and 512px.  I have no idea which one they really mean. The 256px is especially confusing, since it’s smaller than their “suggested minimum” of 480px. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lol @ScottWorld. We should have a way of reaching out to AT with these comments.

Totally agree! They have a “feedback” button at the bottom of each support article, but they stopped reading our feedback on those articles a few years ago. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ Oh, Airtable. 😅.

The cover image gets cropped height and width wise depending on the users browser width, so try doing 1800 by 512 and keep that ‘Showtime’ bit that you want to show to your users within a height of like 128px, vertically above center, seems to work for most widths.  Just lots of experimenting, really

Here’s a mockup of the Showtime image you’ve got:

Be sure to publish and view it when testing too, the center of the cover image gets blocked slightly if your screen is wide enough, and during the editing phase that isn’t really apparent
