I may be missing it, but is it possible to modify font/size of single/multi select fields in the page designer block? I can modify everything else, but I can’t seem to make these bigger or smaller or change the type of font they use.

Welcome to the community, @Ryan_Lavalley! :grinning_face_with_big_eyes: You’re not missing anything. The controls you see for single/multiple select fields are all we have for now. If you would like to see more options added, I suggest making a post to the Product Suggestions category.

Hi, is there a chance that this has changed? :slightly_smiling_face:

I seem to be able to modify font/size for some single/multi select fields but not others. As far as I can see, the fields are formatted identically, so I’m confused why my text modification options differ. I need to be able to modify all fields as I’m making inventory labels. Insights appreciated. Thanks!

Could you share a screenshot or two showing the problem?

has anyone found a solution to this problem? or has this been fixed by airtable team?

I'm still trying to figure out why would this be an issue to begin with, its a no brainer that the fonts in a single or multi select fields would match the rest of the of the format

@csyria5547

One quick & easy solution for this would be to simply create a formula field that equals your single-select or multi-select field.

Then, you can format that formula field with whatever font & style that you’d like.

However, in general, there are several limitations to Page Designer that you may want to be aware of:

  • Page Designer can’t be automated in any way.
  • Page Designer can’t create PDF files on its own — you need to use your computer’s print or PDF functions for that.
  • Page Designer doesn’t yet work in interfaces (but maybe it will at some point in 2025 or 2026).
  • Page Designer can’t insert documents into attachment fields. You have to do this manually.
  • Page Designer can’t effectively create documents that are more than 1 page in length.

Instead, here are a few popular solutions for generating documents from Airtable that overcome these limitations:

  1. DocuMint — the original document creation app for Airtable. Creates PDF files.
  1. DocsAutomator — creates Google Docs documents or PDF files.
  1. Make’s integrations — which can be integrated with any document-creation app of your choosing, even something as simple as custom Microsoft Word documents.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one way that you can instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

  2. Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable — This won’t work if you need to create a document with a varying amount of lines on it, but Fillout lets you automatically generate custom PDF files from a form submission.

I show off this feature on this Airtable podcast episode:

Using Fillout to create an eSignature approval process with PDF file creation.

Hope this helps!
