Is it possible to utilise a tracking pixel to allow a third party to track the progression of a record through a series of statuses within Airtable?

Placing tracking pixels can sometimes be tricky if you’re looking for a quick and effective way to transform visuals. I recently came across a tool that acts as an Online pixel converter and makes the process much smoother. It allows you to experiment with different styles while maintaining the quality of your images. Definitely worth exploring for anyone interested in enhancing their digital visuals.

Hey @Joshua_Buchanan,

Rsther than tracking pixel, you would trigger an automation each time the status field gets updated.  Such automation would email the third party. Would that work? If so, I’d be happy to share further detail on how to set this up.

Hi, Joshua_Buchanan

A tracking pixel cannot be reliably used to track a record’s status progression within Airtable. Tracking pixels only register when an image is loaded (for example, when an email or web page is opened), not when a record’s internal status changes. Airtable does not load external images automatically on status updates, so a third party would not receive events for each status change. To track progression, you would need Airtable automations, webhooks, or an API-based integration instead.

Hi @Joshua_Buchanan

Airtable doesn’t support firing tracking pixels on internal status changes. You’d need an automation or script (Airtable Automations, Make/Zapier, or a custom webhook) that triggers on status updates and calls the third-party tracking endpoint instead.
