Hi,

We are an academic library. We don’t have a facebook account or any connection to facebook that I know of. However, I noticed when an interface was loading, that my browser said “waiting for facebook.”

When I looked at the html of the page, I found this:

<img height="1" width="1" style="display:none" alt="" src="https://www.facebook.com/tr?id=418406606004092&amp;ev=PageView&amp;noscript=1"/>

We’ve found similar non-displayed links to facebook on other pages.

Is this expected? If so, what does it do? And is there a way for us to turn it off?

Thanks,
Joe Montibello

Hey @JoeMontibello,

Are you making reference to an Airtable interface?

That should not be happening. Does the fb specific url mean anything to you?
Otherwise you might want to reach out to support@airtable.com. However this seems to be something browser/cache specific to you?

Yeah, as @Mike_AutomaticN said above, your issue is not an Airtable-related issue, since Airtable interfaces don’t connect to Facebook. Maybe you’ve got a Facebook extension installed in your browser or some other Facebook tool installed on your computer. If you have an IT Department, I would chat with them about uninstalling any Facebook-related tools from yoru computer.
