Statistical charting: AIRTABLE currently allows users to create basic charts, such as bar charts, line charts, and pie charts, but they lack the statistical details that would make them more useful for data analysis. The following improvements could be made: Add labels to the charts that provide more information about the data being displayed, such as mean, median, mode, range, and standard deviation. Allow users to select the formatting and color of chart elements, such as bars, lines, and labels, to create a more visually appealing and informative chart. Integrate the interface with other data visualization tools, such as Tableau or PowerBI, to allow users to create more complex and interactive charts that can be viewed in the AIRTABLE interface.

It would be great to be able to perform functions like duplicate, hide, delete, etc. for more than one column at once. You can select multiple but as soon as you right click, it deselects.

Something where seperate users could vote (on ratings, on checkmarks, etc) would be invaluable for collaboration and user feedback in open databases. What do you guys think?

Would love to see a feature where we can choose between vertical or horizontal headers. This helps squeeze more text into the headers while looking at all the data.

Hi everyone, Pello here from Moonland. As an Airtable Gold Partner, we’ve had the chance to build some pretty sophisticated tools in Airtable, like full ERPs and other complex systems. While we’ve been able to do a lot, there’s one feature that’s still missing that I think could help us build the perfect app: conditional pop-ups. What is the proposed idea/solution? The idea is to introduce a feature in Airtable that allows users to create and trigger conditional pop-ups when a button is clicked. These pop-ups could be customized to display warning messages, confirmation prompts, or any other relevant information before proceeding with an automation or action. How does it solve the user problems? This feature would enhance user experience by adding an extra layer of interactivity and control within Airtable. It helps prevent unintended actions by allowing users to confirm or review their choices before triggering potentially irreversible automations. This can be especially valuable in complex workflows where a simple mistake could lead to significant issues, such as data loss or incorrect processing. How was this validated? The need for this feature has been observed in various user scenarios where preventing accidental triggers is critical. Many users currently have to create complex workarounds or additional fields to mimic this functionality, which can lead to confusion and inefficiency. By implementing native pop-up functionality, Airtable can streamline these processes and reduce the need for such workarounds. Who is the target audience? This feature would benefit a wide range of Airtable users, particularly those managing complex workflows, such as project managers, product developers, and anyone using Airtable for tasks that involve critical or sensitive actions. It’s especially useful for industries like software development, inventory management, and any scenario where automated actions need to be carefully controlled. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this idea. We’re always looking for ways to improve the tools we create, and your feedback could really help. Thanks for reading this post! Pello

When communicating with a developer I want to be able to paste pictures into the comments - just like it would be possible to insert it into Slack/Gmail. This helps when we’re seeing bugs in the development.
Alternative right now is to upload the picture in one of the fields, but this is slightly more cumbersome and you cannot connect this easily to one of the comments

Would love to see an additional option within the Shared View to allow for the share link to include the ability to read comments. (Commenter permission won’t work for our use case, and several other peoples, it seems.) I’ve seen quite a few similar requests over the past couple of years, and I’m curious to see if there’s more interest in it now.
For us, it would allow us to strike the right balance of interacting with a guest/customer, while limiting them to a specific view. We don’t want them to be able to see everything in the base, and we’d rather them not have to create an account in order to view the relevant data. For us the data relevant to the customer IS the comments themselves.
The only workaround for this at the moment is to duplicate the base, delete the views we don’t want the customer to have, and create a commenter account for them. Even then, they still could access the base with a personal view. The shared view is what we want/need/love… but it won’t work for us without comments :frowning:
I’ve seen some random threads about this from several people, so if you’re one of those people, let’s band together to make our request known to the glorious powers that be.

Please make it an option to select multiple views and change specific configurations.
Use case - I have a base with hundreds of identical views shared with outside customers and the only difference is each view is filtered by the specific customer (so they can only see their information we want to give them). If change one of the filtered fields, I then must manually go into each each view and re-do the configurations.
Right now I have to create a “Template View”. Go into each view and “Copy another view’s configuration” Select the “Template View” Select all to copy configuration Go into the filter and change the customer name back to who I made the view for. Then repeat 100’s of times This takes hours :frowning:
Would be nice to just be able to select multiple views at once and edit specific configurations. Then should only take a minute.
Thanks for listening.

Just a quick suggestion: I use webhooks in my buttons to start and top timers in my timesheet tracking service: however, I would really like to be able to click on a webhook without having to immediately close the tab.
I could set-up a macro to close a tab automatically after a time interval, but I thought I would pop in here and suggest that we have that added layer of control in terms of what pops up as we click a button.
In another use case, sometimes I want to run a script to perform background tasks, and I don’t need to see the console. I would love the script to be able to run in the background without necessarily loading the dashboard - and I realize there is probably a limitation here, regarding only being able to use a block if it’s fully loaded on the screen.
In any event, these are my two cents! I am really enjoying the Button field, it really helps Airtable perform more like an application than a spreadsheet - there have been so many great updates recently, I’m excited to see how Airtable will evolve over the years.

There is already this feature request (forum URL plus “/t/request-entity-relationship-diagram/2490”) that asks for a visual representation of the different elements in a base, which would be great BUT also… I’m trying to ditch my LucidChart subscription so that I can use Airtable for everything, but right now the ability to create ERDs (for content models for content strategy) is the one thing I still need LucidChart (or Visio) for. My job requires very large (e.g. 500k+ pages) site migrations, so not having visual representation of relationships between content types can make projects very difficult for everyone across our team to reason about. I could see having something like “cardinality” or the more colloquial “crow’s foot notation” in column B to show the relationships between the content types listed in columns A and C. The visual presentation could come up in a block on the right-side panel. This is different from the above request, which shows the actual relationships between rows/items added to AirTable, whereas I want to be able to arbitrarily create this visualization and house it within a base with all my other project assets.
