I want an AI Agent that does the clicking and typing for me. "Filter on Product Names containing "widget" " "Show me all records for Customer XYZ" "Sort this view by Date" "Check the box - Create Sales Order" "Set Follow-up Date to 2 weeks from today" Nitty gritties: 1. Navigating "Go to the Customers table" "Switch to the [Sales Orders] view" "Show me the records from the past month" 2. Searching & Filtering Data "Filter by [Product Name] containing 'widget'" "Show me all records for [Customer XYZ]" "Find all tasks due tomorrow" "Show me all records where 'Status' is 'Pending'" 3. Data Manipulation "Sort this view by [Date] in descending order" "Sort the records by [Amount] from highest to lowest" "Show only records where 'Stock Level' is less than 10" "Set [Shipping Date] to next Monday" "Delete all records older than 6 months" 4. Data Entry & Updates "Create a new record with [Customer Name], [Product], [Quantity], and [Price]" "Add a note to record [ID] with 'Shipment delayed until Friday'" "Update 'Follow-up Date' to 2 weeks from today for all records in 'Pending' status" 5. Task Automation "Set a reminder to follow up on [Customer XYZ] next Monday" "Mark all tasks in this view as 'Completed' " "Create a new 'Reminder' task for [Customer XYZ] to call next week" 6. Interacting with Linked Records "Show all records related to [Customer XYZ] in the [Invoices] table" "Link these records to [Sales Order #123]" 7. Integrations & Workflows "Send a reminder email to [Customer XYZ] about their order status" "Sync this table with Google Sheets" "Run the [Monthly Sales Report] automation" 8. Collaboration & Notifications "Notify [Team Member] about a delay in the order for [Customer XYZ]" "Share this view with [Email Address]" 9. AI Assistant "How can I..." "Are there any integrations that can help with XYZ ?"

In the options for different interface types, the only way to get a table is through starting with a blank interface and adding a table element in. This often causes scrolling issues between the whole page and within the table, and overall is is a very clunky way to get a table interface. Can a new interface be made that is just a table, similar to the list interface, but with the functionality of a table. It would be the same as the table view under the data tab, but having it as an interface gives a lot more control over access to it and sharing between other people. If this could be added it would also solve Allow what users can see/access individual Views in the same table as @TheTimeSavingCo commented on this.

Allow the Admin account to share specific views to users, and revoke access to others. This would be a page where I can add or remove users access to the specific view. This should also be similar in the Permissions options, where users can be an editor, viewer, commenter, but have it so they can have different permissions in different views. This means that a user may have access to 'View 1' and 'View 2', but not 'View 3', and this user is able to edit in 'View 1' but not in 'View 2' and cannot see or edit in 'View 3'

What is the proposed idea/solution? A way to search a base to find references to a record, a field, or a piece of text that may exist in any of the scripts. Or perhaps have an info block on each table that would reference any automation that is triggered from it, or is referenced in an automation's javascript code. How does is solve the user problems? I am starting to get really good at automations and scripts, but sometimes I can't remember where I may have done a specific operation. Other than taking all of my scripts, pasting into text documents to search, there doesn't appear to be a way to search the platform. Having this would make development easier and allow users to avoid duplication. How was this validated? ...It would be a new feature, pretty easy to verify. Who is the target audience? ...Developers, auditors, anyone troubleshooting.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...Introduce an option in Airtable's Interface Designer to hide or collapse elements within a page until a filter or record picker linked to it has a selection made. How does is solve the user problems? ...When navigating pages with numerous elements or multiple filter boxes (often due to information being pulled from various tables), hiding elements until a filter option is chosen minimizes visual clutter and unnecessary scrolling. This enhancement simplifies the interface at first glance, creating a cleaner, more focused user experience. It also reduces the number of pages required within an interface, consolidating workflows and reducing the number of clicks needed to access information. Overall, this saves users time and improves efficiency by streamlining their interaction with the interface. How was this validated? ... This idea is supported by user feedback highlighting frustration with current interface designs, specifically: Difficulty understanding what a page offers or the purpose of its elements without a visible breakdown. The need to scroll through an entire page to locate a specific element, which can be time-consuming. Challenges faced by new Airtable users or those unfamiliar with a particular page, as they struggle to quickly grasp its structure or find relevant information. These insights demonstrate the value of a cleaner, more dynamic interface that adapts to user actions, reducing confusion and improving efficiency. Who is the target audience? ...The target audience includes any users of Airtable, such as (but not limited to) project managers, data analysts, and interface designers who rely on complex, multi-table data interfaces to drive productivity. Additionally, casual users who benefit from simplified, intuitive workflows will also find value in this enhancement.

I started out with the trial of Airtable and absolutely loved it. It is perfect for what I'm looking to do - but what I'm looking to do is a small, personal project, that being able to share Interfaces publicly is perfect for. Now that my trial is over and I'm on the Free version, Airtable still covers everything I need - EXCEPT that specific part, and I unfortunately cannot justify $24/mth to go to the first paid tier. However, I would happily pay $5-6 a month to keep all the other features of a Free account and just add this specific functionality on.

The Free Version of Airtable continues to be degraded to the point that it now feels more like a trial than a free option. The addition of an annoying pop-up to subscribe is my last straw. I am not a free user. I've been a fan of Airtable for many years, introduced it to hundreds and interacted with thousands through many different use cases I've created. I'm such a fan that I've talked with everyone from teens to top tier executives in showing them how Airtable could be of use to them. I've created bases for countless people, most of them business owners. As a business owner myself I enjoy what I've been able to do and love showing others what they can do. I've stopped doing that. The free version of Airtable has become so disagreeable and degraded that I don't feel confident I can do something worthwhile to demonstrate its use. The last time I really showed Airtable to someone I promised big and failed completely. I bought a couple rats from a breeder and had some quick thoughts on how to make tracking her lineages and sharing rat pictures online easy with Airtable. I asked if she'd like me to put something together and she was enthusiastic to see what I suggested. I failed completely. Linking bases had been disabled in the free version had been removed since the last time I tried it with the free version, and I couldn't find a workaround to make my vision reality. So, I dropped it, and she went with something else. I haven't tried since even though I'm always thinking of ways to make stuff for other people. Airtable competition isn't where I want it for my use, but it's getting there. From now on, when I want to show someone an idea for a way to make their business smoother, I won't be doing it with Airtable. I'll be showing them the competition and maybe saying that I could do it a little better with a paid Airtable account, but that won't be their introduction to the format. Please reconsider chasing people away from free accounts. They used to be awesome, now they're terrible. I was a free user for months before I decided to become a paid user, and then a paid user for many years and more importantly, a fan who shared the product with countless others. Just something to consider.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Airtable desperately needs more options for date filtering. Most importantly the following: within next calendar week/month within past calendar week/month on or before the end of this calendar week on or before the end of next calendar week Airtable barely has filters for calendar weeks which is extremely frustrating because most program managers are looking at the tasks for the given week and it is super annoying to have to make it a custom between 2 date fields because saying on or before one week from now will show tasks from the following week within the first few days. How does is solve the user problems? This makes searches more automated so they will automatically show you what is happening in the given calendar week/month without having to do the current way which is: Date is on or after 11/1/2024 or date is on or before 11/30/2024 (which has to manually be changed every month). It just makes things unnecessarily difficult when it should just be simple to add these date filters.

What is the proposed idea/solution? When designing interfaces, if I create a button to create new records, the form does not allow for new options in single-select fields. I know there are workarounds, but a better idea is just to give designers the option via a toggle when in the "Edit pages" designer for forms. This toggle already exists in Interface Designer, (screenshot attached). Please include it for when designing forms within Interfaces. How does is solve the user problems? Makes users' lives easier. Enhances Airtable's capabilities. Currently they have to do workaround that involve multiple steps, and I'd rather not make a process take 3 steps when 1 would do. How was this validated? ? Who is the target audience? Everyone using the Interface forms.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Base Schema extension... on steroids 💊!! The existing base schema extension is ok, but could be way better for documenting the base. Simple updates/requirements: 1. Allow for multiple slides/pages where different views/arrangements of the schema can be shown 2. Hide certain tables (when you want to show or explain one specific workflow) 3. Hide certain fields 4. Include table descriptions 5. Include field descriptions 6. Allow for a Header for each slide 5. Allow for text notes within each slide. How does is solve the user problems? Current base schema is good for understanding and visualizing, but not for documenting. Only a few additional features are needed. The whole base would be documented in one same place (extension), going through different workflows and structures in a neat and organized way. It would recycle already existing table and field descriptions. Who is the target audience? All Airtable users with complex bases!
