When you assign a value to a linked field you choose from one or more records of the source field. I miss some additional info on the source field while you are choosing the right record. Example: Imagine 2 tables: TASKS (id, description, person-linked to PEOPLE table) PEOPLE (name, qualifications, experience, adress,…). There are 15 people you don´t know and you have to assing tasks to them. First you can have a look at the PEOPLE table, but at the time of assigning the person field within TASKS you cannot remember all of them. The info you see is not enough to make this choice. I can think of 3 possibilities: (full) A shortcut to get the PEOPLE records expanded views so that you can make your choice from there (reduced) The possibility to mark one of the fields in PEOPLE as info field. When you get the list of persons to assign you would see only the primary field and the info field (otherwise you see at least 3 fields and therefore the fist 4 words for each field) Thanks in advance.

When in expanded view for a record, it would be handy to be able to show or hide a field by clicking its drop down arrow and selecting “Show Field” or “Hide Field” from the menu.

Hello, One of my tables will be filled by forms. That table has a linked field to a table that, as a primary field, has an autocompleting ID. When using the forms view, it shows only the “1, 2, 3, etc.” (image given), making it impossible to know exactly what is being selected. It would be very useful if: I could choose what column from the table linked on the field will be shown, or The dropdown shown on the forms view could be the same we have when choosing in grid view (image given). Thx!

Would love to see a notes feature included in the field type box. This would allow users to provide more context on the field being used… or the categories of the content within that field’s functionality. I.e. if there’s a multiple select; defining what each selection represents.

This one’s a little complicated to explain in the abstract, so I’ll give you an example: Let’s say I’ve got a table of Students and a table of Classes. The primary key on the Classes table is a number field rather than a single-line text field, the number corresponding to the graduation year. In the Students table, there is a field that is a link to the Classes table, so that each student can be associated with their graduating class. Let’s say we have a student named John Smith who graduated in 2015. The record for student John Smith would have associated class of “2015”, which links to all the properties of class “2015”. Now, lets say I’m on the Students table and want to filter out all students who graduated before 2014. When I hit Filter while viewing the Students table and chose the Class field (that is, the field that links to the Class table) the filter options I’m given correspond to single-line text (contains, does not contain, is/n’t empty) rather than the data type of the primary key, number. For this purpose, that wouldn’t work very well as I would like to be able to filter students based on class number being greater than or equal to 2014. I recognize that since you can link to more than one record, you may need additional logical parameters (any vs. all). But I still think it would be useful.
