I would like to be able to add a field that includes attributes of the collaborators entered within a "user" or "created by" or "last modified by" type of field. For example if George is entered as a collaborator in a field in table X of base Y and George belongs to a user admin group called "Sales" I would like to look up the user group George belongs to and automatically show it in another field of the same entry in table X of base Y.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Providing Interface designers with the ability to allow/disallow the visibility of the field "i" tooltip inside Interfaces. How does is solve the user problems? Currently, we are using text blocks in the UI to explain certain field purposes or possible pitfalls of user selections. You can really clean up an interface and reduce user support questions by providing them with the ability to get further information before making a choice at the exact moment in their workflow that it is appropriate. Blocks of text mean to help a user perform functions really make the entire interface too cluttered to use for experienced users. Some users don't use the system very often so they usually completely forget and need this help but. Maintaining two interfaces with different levels of "Info Help" is not a viable option. From an administration standpoint, this allows for already existing documentation to now serve both database designers and end users at the same time. Future leaning thinking also implies that there could be two fields for "Description" - each with a different set of permissions so that admins can leave themselves complex backend notes for themselves and their teams yet provide more simple descriptions for interface front end users. The organization of bases within a Pro workspace is insufficient. Naming and/or color coding is not enough. As the number of bases increases, you need to archive old data or may wish to logically organize bases into groups (or collections), for the growing volume of bases. Can we please have a better user experience to group bases. Airtable has an existing analogy for this with “sections” that group views. At an account level, we needs similar functionality to group bases. My recommendation is that these be called "collections". This capability would enable workspace administrators to better see and organize their collection of bases.

We have a lot of bases in our workspace it would be great if workspaces supported groups. So you could group your bases in the same workspace.

In addition to collaborative, personal, and locked views, add private view and/or the ability to create bases that teammates would not be able to see.

Hello. I 've noticed the addition of new button-style shortcuts. Each time you press New Form, or New Grid…it creates a NEW base. this is so confusing and extremely waste of precious space. Why someone who can easily add a new base, to have these buttons on the top, which do something very very very specific. If anyone has found usability on this layout, please share with us

It would be extremely useful to be able to “admin hide” some columns so they don’t appear to users below a certain permission level. With no-code programming there are times when you have to create “dev fields” that only facilitate the function of other fields. But when you expand a record, you can see them. This causes confusion within my organization. I understand this can somewhat be solved with Interfaces, which is still developing. But I have a very technical company and my team uses Airtable in a very technical way so they don’t particularly like using the interfaces yet. The “dev fields” you have to create can really confuse you anytime you have to expand a whole record. Cheers,

It seems a recent change has been made so that when a person is in a base, and we select “Add Collaborators” it gives us the option to add to the Workspace or the Base. This has caused several people to mistakenly add people to a workspace instead of a base which can be a big problem if a company has private info within the workspace they don’t want people to see. It’s our request that you remove this feature. When inside the base itself no option should come up to add to workspace. This should be done from the workspace level only. Thank you,

Our company currently uses the Pro version of Airtable and it would be SO helpful if we could have at least just ONE Other workspace for archival purposes. It’s a bummer the options go from a single workspace in the first three plan options and then goes to unlimited for the Enterprise. This jump is unfair to the growing companies where the enterprise plan doesn’t make sense… Just one additional workspace would allow us to have an “Archive” workspace and separate new projects with past/finished projects that we still need to keep data for and reference.
