It would be useful to have more features related to the use of sets in arrays. Airtable has the ability to create an array and create rollups from those arrays, but doesn’t have any formula functions to manipulate 1 or more arrays. Being able to use set theory type functions would allow better application building than group and sort. When you add field permissions to some fields, you can’t see which ones have them and which don’t. Unless I am missing something of course. It would be useful to have a little icon (like for sync’ed fields) near the field name. Now, only if you set field permissions to “nobody”, you see a little icon next to the first record if you select the field. Not useful having to click through every field. It would be great if I could dynamically use a colour from a field in my base for the static elements in Page Designer. Similar to how the static text element can use {Field Names} to intersperse content from a base with static text, it would be really helpful if for background fills and border colors. I think there are lots of ways to better support color, for example Airtable covers all of the field types that Webflow supports (and more, i know) with the exception of color, which I use a lot, and would be very helpful to have here too. ... I was just scrolling through my Membership base, where I have several fields. Can Airtable consider adding something along the lines of users being able to change the color of the field name cells? The form view on Airtable currently doesn’t support prefilled hidden fields. Being able to receive input for hidden fields would be very helpful. Being able to receive this input in various ways would be even better. Ideally, you would be able to assign values to hidden fields either: by query argument (e.g., ?_prefill=foo), by view (i.e., configured via Airtable for all submissions of the form in question), or both (using both methods on the same form view) The only way to gain this functionality at the moment is through integration with a third-party web form service like Typeform or Jotform, which while effective, is both a hassle and implies an extra subscription fee. ... One of the biggest feature of AirTable is internal link between records. But I missed for years a very (no so) simple feature : links for RichText fields. The current text formatting options in the long-text field are extremely useful - but for me there’s one thing missing - the ability to add tables. Example: we use Airtable to manage our product specification documents. Each time I issue a new version of a document I add a dated text entry to the document control diary. So, I have entries of Product Specs, Data Sheets, Safety Data Sheets, Labels etc all arranged in a long-form dated diary. It works fine, but means you need to scroll through entries to review.
