Tooltip in Interface Pages

What is the proposed idea/solution? The ability to add tool tips to the top of List, Grid, etc Interface pages and/or to tabs on the Interface page. This is a very easy addition from a development perspective I would assume but would certainly help livability for users. How does is solve the user problems? This would allow Creators & Editors to provide additional context to the users about how the data is being filtered, colored, etc. This is a very easy addition from a development perspective I would assume but would certainly help livability for users.

What is the proposed idea/solution? With the recent updates to the Airtable API being more featureful with Record Comments - it makes sense to also give some love to no-code Automation Actions, allowing an Automation to post to the Record Comments, either as an Automation or upon behalf of a specified user. How does is solve the user problems? Currently, for example, an Automation can use conditional logic to email an Airtable operator of an issue with a record. It would be useful if we had other options too, such as the Automation posting to the records comment detailing the problem with that record. Who is the target audience? Any firm using Record Comments will find a benefit from an Automation no-code Action that can also write to a records comments.

What is the proposed idea/solution? The "Editable" and "View only" button on Interface is very handy when limiting actions on an Interface; however, it would be much more convenient and better security/workflow-wise to limit specific fields/columns (especially on List and Grid) as "View only" or "Editable" directly rather than having all fields editable because it can be accidentally edited. How does this solve the user problems? Lesser human error when accidentally editing stuff on incorrect fields. Who is the target audience? Interface users.

Hello, I am using Airtable for project management. I am trying to shift some of our proposal generation to Airtable and see some promise with the Page Designer Feature. Just wondering – is it possible to generate multiple pages from a single record? Basically, for each job, I have several components that take up most of a sheet of paper. I need to have a summary table of work to be completed below that, along with terms and conditions. Our current proposals are 6 pages long using Microsoft Word Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?

What is the proposed idea/solution? Creating a dedicated workspace for formulas that are on the bottom of the window in a Base that will generate greater visibility for formula expression writing. It would also be very helpful if the formulas would have more predictive capabilities. How does is solve the user problems? The current floating model is often too condensed to navigate or edit when dealing with lengthy formulas. This would allow for greater visibility. How was this validated? There can be a "expanding" button that could create either a pop up window or a lower page window for viewing the formula. ... Who is the target audience? ...

I love using the Single Select (or Multiple Select) fields to add a pop of color to a table, and be able to see things at a glance. I also love how easy it is to change a Single Select field to a Linked Record field, and to automatically create a new table using the data from that field. But I don’t love that all my colors go away when I do this. I gain so much functionality, but lose the ability to see things at a glance. I know I can add a little colored stripe to the side of record based on certain conditions, but it’s not the same as the colorful pills in either Single or Multiple Select fields. What if there was a way to take the conditional coloring from one table, and use that to add color to that record when it appears in another table in a Linked Records field?

It has been a helpful tool for my team in data entry and clean-up to create interface pages where the underlying records can be easily edited to add discovered missing entries or update a field for a given record. Especially for my team members that are less data savy and have a harder time with raw spreadsheets! I have been able to design pages from some of the page layout templates (such as "blank" or "record viewer") that have been great for our team to use! However, it seems this functionality is not available in the "dashboard" interface page. Maybe I'm missing how this can be accomplished but if not, having the option to edit the underlying data/records would be a great addition to make the dashboard interface more powerful!

What is the proposed idea/solution? Create a field type that automatically populates the "Most Recent Comment" made on the record. How does is solve the user problems? Competitive feature of smartsheet. This also allows me to eliminate clicks to understand the "next actions" from the comments, but I can always go see the full running feed view when needed.

Hello Airtable & Airtable Community, I'd like to see if there's support for a kind of Global Element top navigation bar for Interfaces that I can use across multiple bases of my workspace. For example, I have different bases for: Quoting Planning Ordering Production HR and I'd like a user to be able to navigate between them without going to the Home screen. I know some users have implemented buttons at the top of the page, but it would seem to me that you'd have to do that on every Interface page (manually create each set of 5 buttons, manually input the URLs). Certainly possible, but a bit painful to implement. I have 2-3 Interfaces each with 5-10 Interface Pages, per base. It would be great to be able to define which "buttons" show for which users based on their permissions. Thanks for any tips or info on whether this is in the pipeline.
