I am trying to solve the following problem: One table lists all our available products, another table lists projects/jobs in which our products were used and sold for. A rollup on the inventory table counts how many times each product was sold. But here is the problem - in the project/job table I have an option column that allows me to list a job either as “bid” or as “actual sale”. A custom view in that project table allows me to easily view bids and sales, but the rollup in the inventory table counts both options, bids and sales. Is there a way to tell the rollup to only count sales and ignore bids? That to me sounds like a pretty standard database function, but I cannot figure out how to do it in Airtable. I would love to be able to import a list with an extra field that I define during the CSV import or contact card import. For example, I’d like to import a contact group with the field “Group” being something I can label as “Pearl’s College Friends” on the fly, for the entire import file. Since VCF format doesn’t have this built in it should have an option to include a single line of text, or a checkbox, or whatever during import. For the CSV import I suppose I could manually edit the CSVs before import to say what I want, but it would be great to do this in realtime during import as well, as recreating a CSV is a multi step process. If I duplicate a Page Designer Block and change the settings to point to a new table, the entire block configuration is cleared. I would expect any field included in the Block configuration where an identically named field exists in the new table would remain in the duplicated Block. any field configured in the Block where an identically named field does not exist in the new table to have some sort of placeholder error display. any static text defined in the Block to remain. While I can understand Item 2 being addressed as a new feature request, and I’d grudgingly be willing to live with Item 1 as the same, i can’t see any reason for Item 3 not to be considered a bug… Items 1, 2, and 3 are needed for Airtable to be considered a robust development platform. Otherwise, any decision to modify or even to experiment with a different data model involving the duplication and modification of a table eradicates all effort invested in developing Page Designer Blocks associated with the table. ... Our entire workflow hinges on quick and easy mass-merging of records based on simple rules: When the Email keys of two records match create a single record out of both: Ignore empty fields When available, select the more recent entry to a field This is because we plan on sending follow-up surveys to people in the database, and updating their records w/ updated answers or new columns. Also, at the scale we’re planning, it’s simply not workable for us to go record-by-record and manually figure out which fields are newer. As my tables have grown in records and evolved to continue fitting my needs, I’m finding I have a lot of adjacent fields that all have numbers. As the table gets larger and larger, it’s becoming more difficult to know what each number represents because the column title is often far away from my eye.
