The barcode feature in the mobile app is great, however searching for an item to link with barcodes only works on linked items when their primary field is the barcode. Barcodes tend to be nondescript, and it makes little sense that they become the primary field, as they then show up all over the place. Why don’t the search field search multiple indexes, letting the user specify a “searchable” Boolean on fields other than the primary could work. There are discrepencies with Rich Text content causing issues. If I copy/paste a rich text field into another rich text field, then create a formula that checks to see if they are equal: IF({Rich Field 1} = {Rich Field 2}, "SAME", "NOT SAME"), then it shows these as being equal. But if I take the content from {Rich Field 1} via the API, and perform an update via API to {Rich Field 2}, the formula comparison says they are NOT SAME. In the Last Modified Time formula you can watch for changes in selected fields. I wish I could also add a condition filter to only watch for changes in the selected field if there is a value match. I know I can do that via an additional separate field that will have a match-type function and then watch for changes of this field using the last-modified-time field… But it just ads unnecessary fields in Airtable. If Last Modified Time formula can do that, it eliminates need for the extra field. With number of fields in Airtable limited to 500 fields, saving every field counts. ... View more

Hi, I have a linked field that links records from the same table but from a different view (I have filter applied on that view based on some conditions) When I link a field (from Table A) to a record from another table (Table B), In Table B, I get a new column that shows what records are being linked to in Table A But in my case, when I link to a view in the same table, I am not able to see what records are linked to a record in the view. What I am trying to achieve basically is if a record from the view is linked, it cannot be linked to another record. I want to hide that record from the linking view.
