Hi, We’ve been waiting a long time for the “Created by” field and are glad it’s here. Before this we were manually recording this data in a “Record created by” collaborator field. We’d like to add this data into the empty fields that have been created by adding the new “Created by” field to existing tables. Stephen

I have a super complicated base that is the backbone of my business. The Base schema block is a life saver as I work to clean up/understand my column and cross table relationships. Similar to base schema it would be AMAZING if there was a way when on a view you could see if there are any blocks that are built using it. There is already a notification that a viewed is shared so its already somewhat of a framework

Though there is already a button feature that I like. But what if…IF you want to use a button to ‘change the field value’. For instance, when I press a button, it puts a checkbox in the checkbox field. Unfortunately, there is no way to do that, except by using just the script block. As blocks are only on the paid plan, I’m only on a free plan and with no access to blocks, I wish there is a way to actually change the value of the field by pushing a button without the use the of the script block. I hope that feature will be implemented in the near future.

would like to be able to widen the first column (project name) in the iPad app. Right now, I have to toggle between expanded view and full list. Would be easier and quicker in a meeting to be able to just see the full project names in the list without toggling back and forth on each individual project.

Looks like a gradual rollout, but there is a way to navigate between views. The keyboard shortcut is the same (Cltrl-SHift-K) but a new sidebar appears and doesn’t go away after the view has been switched. Moreover, the keyboard focus doesn’t shift to this box - so if you type a view name, you will end up typing in one of your records by mistake.
This is BAD UX. There was nothing broken to fix. Product manager - this is NOT useful. Revert back to the old one, or give me a choice to stay with the old way.

Is it possible to access the Base View after clicking on a View only link? In other words, if I send a “View-Only” link in an email blast to people in and outside of my organization, is it possible for a collaborator to click on the view only link and then easily proceed to the same View in the Base?
I am thinking of a handy “Go to Full View” button that if clicked checks the users credentials and forwards them to the View in the Base.
If this doesn’t exist, it would be awesome. Thanks!!

The scripting block is cool. But a lot of us use AirTable because we don’t know how to code. I’d love for someone to create an AirTable block (or feature) which would let me script automations through a Zapier-style interface. (no coding knowledge required). In my dream world, this would not only script automations within an AirTable base, but also between AirTable bases, and ALSO between AirTable and other software with API hooks.
Also: it makes me grumpy to have to pay extra for Zapier. This should be a feature within the AirTable pro plan.
