I’m generally having a hard time seeing various areas of a record, especially when all fields are not populated. Whether or not an attachment exists is especially difficult to determine when looking at the database. In the screenshot below, if I look carefully I can see there is an attachment icon, but it’s really washed out and hard to spot. Would it be possible to make the icon stand out more, or even better, to allow the filename or some other label to display next to it so that it would be easier to spot? [I guess this is an aside, but I feel like I’m lacking some basic browser understanding that would help me find a “theme” or something so that I could have an easier go of reading web pages lately. First of all, thanks for creating the Android app and inviting me to the beta. I am really enjoying it. The PDF viewer in the Android app does not seem to be able to zoom in and out on the PDF as it does in the iOS version of the app. I have a base which will be a repository of PDFs for people that will need to view these PDFs on mobile devices (both iOS and Android). As a workaround, I’m sharing the PDFs with Google Drive and using the very good Drive viewer, but it’s an extra step I do not need to go through in the iOS app. A better viewer would be a huge improvement. I would like to use Airtable to browse through my inventory with clients. When I do that I would like a much simpler look than when I use it as a database tool. Say I’m running a furniture store and my client wants to see what we have available that’s not on view (he’s looking for a table). I would then go into a customer view window and search for tables and get a list of available tables. Instead of him seeing what I see when I work in Airtable I would like him to see a predefined view where some parts are hidden and when I click an item it pops up a fact sheet with a beautiful picture and relevant information underneath. ... You have by far the best database offering IMO. However, what I really need to justify the move away from a spreadsheet is the ability to use data from one database along with some calculations to try and solve an allocation problem. Eg. I have a set of assets that have various characteristics. I get a request for an asset of a particular type. With a spreadsheet on Google Sheets I can select that request and my assets get scored according to their suitability for this particular request. Then display that list and choose from it to allocate an asset. An ability to do that within Airtable or via an easily linked platform would be essential to any spreadsheet replacement database.
