I think response time for automation is very important to improve. It would be also great to get an automatic response message as a Toast Component in Airtable Interface UI. (external server (external fetch request) can be busy, Interface User have to know the Status of the action). It would also important to have not to repeat same code as you see from Screenshot. (Solution: to make Api request new section)

What is the proposed idea/solution? Today an interface can only be created on a base from every table in this base. It might happen to wish to build an interface with information coming from different bases. Let's have an interface that can show data from all the bases!

What is the proposed idea/solution? Somewhere within the Automations tab, it should show you how many automations you've created and how many are remaining out of your 50. Otherwise, users are forced to manually count how many automations they've created and then subtract, which seems completely unnecessary.

Sems stupid to say the least but it is impossible to diplay most currency and units correctly because the Currency field dosen't allow the "currency symbol" to be displayed after the value. Adding a radio/checkbox to choise between the 2 options would be great. It could be added right here There is a post by @.Theo_Zachmann about it posted in 2017 (almost 8 years prior) and it has neither been anwsered by the Airtable Team or implemented yet.

With Rating being a type, it should be possible to format look up and formula into a directly into Rating. Right now this is not possible, without the use of Automation even so a rating is a disguised Number. Adding this functionnaly would help application that have to deal with things like community ratings. Because a Rating is Number between 0 and a max rating, the resulting value in a formula should be clamp with 0 as the min and the max rating as the max.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Writing Airtable scripts using JavaScript is very tedious. It would be great if you could have a way to prompt an AI to start building an Airtable script for you -- piece by piece -- similar to GitHub Co-Pilot. How does is solve the user problems? This accelerates the time to value in Airtable scripts and can make them easier to maintain for users. How was this validated? Simply poll your Airtable customer base to see how many of them write scripts and how many of them want to speed that process up. Who is the target audience? Airtable script writers

Currently, I have to make another table to track dates, holidays and weekends. This is a real pain. It would be nice if there were a setting somewhere either at the table or base level where I could select work weekends, yes or no, etc. Right now this is a really drawback.

What is the proposed idea/solution? ...Introduce an option in Airtable's Interface Designer to hide or collapse elements within a page until a filter or record picker linked to it has a selection made. How does is solve the user problems? ...When navigating pages with numerous elements or multiple filter boxes (often due to information being pulled from various tables), hiding elements until a filter option is chosen minimizes visual clutter and unnecessary scrolling. This enhancement simplifies the interface at first glance, creating a cleaner, more focused user experience. It also reduces the number of pages required within an interface, consolidating workflows and reducing the number of clicks needed to access information. Overall, this saves users time and improves efficiency by streamlining their interaction with the interface. How was this validated? ... This idea is supported by user feedback highlighting frustration with current interface designs, specifically: Difficulty understanding what a page offers or the purpose of its elements without a visible breakdown. The need to scroll through an entire page to locate a specific element, which can be time-consuming. Challenges faced by new Airtable users or those unfamiliar with a particular page, as they struggle to quickly grasp its structure or find relevant information. These insights demonstrate the value of a cleaner, more dynamic interface that adapts to user actions, reducing confusion and improving efficiency. Who is the target audience? ...The target audience includes any users of Airtable, such as (but not limited to) project managers, data analysts, and interface designers who rely on complex, multi-table data interfaces to drive productivity. Additionally, casual users who benefit from simplified, intuitive workflows will also find value in this enhancement.

What is the proposed idea/solution? A new View Type that "freezes" records filtered into it so that its data, including formulas and perhaps other dynamic fields, no longer update but provide a snapshot of the record at the time it was "frozen". Records in the view can get ignored by API queries making automation and actions faster too. How does is solve the user problems? Improves Base performance because the system doesn't needs to constantly update formulas or check dynamical filtering conditions on records that are not in use. Reports can still be generated on this data without needing to copy the data from dynamic fields to text only duplicates of the field or duplicating entire records to another Archive/Reporting table or external source. Who is the target audience? Enterprise customers and users with large datasets.

I started out with the trial of Airtable and absolutely loved it. It is perfect for what I'm looking to do - but what I'm looking to do is a small, personal project, that being able to share Interfaces publicly is perfect for. Now that my trial is over and I'm on the Free version, Airtable still covers everything I need - EXCEPT that specific part, and I unfortunately cannot justify $24/mth to go to the first paid tier. However, I would happily pay $5-6 a month to keep all the other features of a Free account and just add this specific functionality on.
