To whom it may concern, An enhancement suggestion from Kalypso: Add ability to export/import Automation configurations Expected Benefits: Reduce manual effort to duplicate automations Example when this would be used as follows: Template enhancement is requested to add an automation Multiple, existing bases created from that template need to be updated to add that automation I do understand referenced tables, fields, etc. from the bases would need to match for the import to be successful There is a related submission on this topic but I don't think adding the capability was specifically requested. Please consider adding this capability. Regards, Jason Knighten

What is the proposed idea/solution? Please provide the option to align the left and right Y-Axis on charts in interfaces. How does is solve the user problems? There are times that you use the left Y axis for sales data, and the right Y axis for target. The purpose is to visualize and compare sales verse target, but this is not effective if the left and right Y axis is on a different scale. How was this validated? By creating a chart with both a left and right Y axis. Who is the target audience? Anyone who is using the left and right y-axis to visually compare the values from the left Y axis with the right Y axis.

It would be nice to be able to customize the content of tooltip in Interface charts by selecting another fields to be displayed in the tooltip.

The UI search bar currently requires an exact match for records to appear in search results, which can be limiting, especially when searching for specific details like the last few digits of a serial number or microchip number. The Base table’s search bar offers a more advanced matching feature, allowing users to find records based on partial entries. To improve usability and efficiency, I suggest updating the UI search bar to offer similar functionality as the Base table search. This would eliminate the need to rely on the 'Filter' option for partial searches and better support workflows that depend on quickly finding specific data. Your urgent attention to this matter is appreciated.

What is the proposed idea/solution? It would be great to have more options for notifications instead of just Email and Mobile on/off. Right now, we have to turn on the ability to be notified for all comments instead of just mentions for EACH record. It would be nice to have the option to turn all comment notifications on for ALL records!! How does is solve the user problems? It would help users not have to remember to turn it on, allowing them to not miss any important comments.

Context Within an automation we use a repeating group action to update a set of records. We may want to update each of these records differently depending on a condition. Currently, we need to define several automations to do that, which is a problem since there is a limit in the number of automations that can be created for a database. Suggested solution If we could add conditional actions within the repeating group it would give us the possibilty to create only one automation. Thank you for considering Pascal

What is the proposed idea/solution? The ability to define a condition for an interface field to be visible How does is solve the user problems? I have a table that includes one record type. However, the table is populated by two different sources that contain different types of information. The current interface page, with all fields visible, looks noisy and can be confusing to internal users. If I had the ability to hide empty fields, it would be a major UI/UX improvement. How was this validated? It has been requested internally by several users. Who is the target audience? Internal company users.

What is the proposed idea/solution? I suggest introducing a test/production environment feature in Airtable that applies to the data automations and interface sections of a base. This would allow users to create and test changes within a "test" version of a base, including data modifications and interface updates etc.. without impacting the live production environment. Once the changes have been fully tested and validated, users could publish these changes to the production environment, ensuring that the live base remains stable and unaffected during the testing phase. How does is solve the user problems? Comprehensive Risk Mitigation: It provides a safe environment for users to experiment with data, automations and interface changes, minimizing the risk of disrupting the live base. Increased Confidence in Updates: Users can test new workflows, interface layouts, formulas, scripts, and automations comprehensively in isolation, ensuring everything works correctly before pushing changes live. Streamlined Workflow: This would eliminate the need for cumbersome workarounds, such as duplicating bases for testing, and reduce confusion caused by multiple versions. It would also allow for seamless transitions from testing to production, improving overall efficiency. Who is the target audience? Power Users: Those who use Airtable for complex projects and need to test changes before going live. Teams and Organizations: Groups relying on Airtable for collaboration, requiring safe testing environments to avoid disruptions. Developers and Technical Users: Those building custom scripts or integrations who need a sandbox for experimentation. Project Managers: Responsible for maintaining base integrity, ensuring changes are vetted before deployment. Consultants: Professionals managing Airtable for clients, needing to demo changes safely before applying them to live bases Thank you Team Airtable !

What is the proposed idea/solution? I would like to see the added options within a Grid View (and also in Interfaces) of the ability to manipulate the order of Linked Records within a Link field. Options including; Sort Records by an associated View within the Linked Table. Sort Records by one or many lookup fields within the Linked Table (such as a date, number, string etc). Sort Records as per their originally linked stack order, but also add a reverse stack option to show the recently added records either first or last. A toggle option that turns off all sort and leaves the current behaviour as is, allowing the user to manually sort records into any random order they desire. If the user toggles a sort on, and then off again, their desired manual sort order returns (and is not lost). How does is solve the user problems? A user can employ a Scripting Extension script or an Automation script action to execute upon their Link Field being updated, where their script applies the desired sort order to the records within the field - but such a workaround is rigid and out of reach of most common users. I believe that having Link Field sort options as part of the Airtable UI would be a widely accepted and used feature. Who is the target audience? Anyone using a Link Field who finds the need to apply order to those linked records within that Link Field.
