I am an artist working with various companies in various Markets/Categories (ie: greeting cards, home decor, stationery, and gift). Some companies are in multiple markets such as greeting cards & gift; whereas other companies just serve one. Think Micheal’s v.s. Hallmark. The former serves multiple markets while the latter is likely just greeting cards (just go with me). So now that you have the back story, I’d like to be able to Group by Markets/Categories, BUT, I would like a record to duplicate itself in this view to list in BOTH greeting cards and gift. I DON’T want it to be Grouped as “Greeting Cards, Gift” because it could be the only company listed as such. It would be great to be able to perform functions like duplicate, hide, delete, etc. for more than one column at once. You can select multiple but as soon as you right click, it deselects. ... View more

Thanks for a great product! I have created a fair number of automations and my list is growing longer and longer. Unfortunately, they are shown in order of when they are created, and so the list is a mess. It would be nice to be able to reorder the list manually so they are shown in a manner that makes sense to the creator. Please make the Expanded Record match the View in use. I use Airtable as a Project Management tool and we use the Expanded Record heavily. Its clunky right now with all the extra fields in there that don’t need to be seen. For us it really keeps us from being able to use Airtable to its full potential. I need to be able to get new people up and running quickly. Currently I have to explain which fields to ignore, etc. It’s just not clean and easy like the rest of your program. I’m trying to think like you here and I figure the least amount of work for Airtable team would be to simply match the Expanded Record with whatever the current View shows. This would solve my issue and for many others who have raised this. It would be continuing your great vision of having Views, which is really the most outstanding feature in Airtable. In an even better world you would have functionality to edit the Expanded Record in any way the user sees fit. It would be great if Airtable had a STDEV roll up field. I would think it would be easy, since the calculation is available (you can set the field summary at the bottom to stdev). To create a manual formula is difficult with variable data otherwise. It’d be great if the primary field for a table could be defined as consisting of multiple fields. For example, I have a “Movies Watched” base containing a table listing movies, and another table listing viewings. The viewings table has a link to the movies table and a date. Each viewing record can be uniquely identified by the combination of the movie and date. At present, since there is only one primary field, and that field cannot be a lookup, I have to set the primary field as a formula concatenating the movie lookup and date to create a fake composite field. A (simpler) alternative would be allowing the primary field to be hidden - as if the primary field is a formula based on other fields (such as in this instance) the data making up this primary field is already displayed elsewhere, and any fields used to create that primary field cannot be hidden if you want to be able to (easily) edit them. ...
