What is your idea? Create a new role for users with interface-only access called Designer or something. These users could edit interface pages, show/hide fields, and even edit fields as necessary. They wouldn't be able to access the database or automations, or even add pages, but could modify existing pages as necessary. What Problem would it Solve? Users would be able to change values of some fields that they otherwise wouldn't be able to: single select, multiple select, etc. which can be helpful for users who accidentally create a value in these fields which are mispelled or have the wrong color etc. Users would be able to make minor cosmetic changes and move fields around as necessary. Less time would be taken from developers for making modest changes and fixing simple mistakes Who would benefit? I think this would give some users a sense of control over their apps, so they're not entirely locked to users with editor/creator access. Especially for more minor issues - like fixing incorrect single select fields - having to wait for a user who is a creator to fix those fields or update colors might be considered a minor annoyance for users. It would also appeal to users who consider themselves more designers than database engineers and give them an intro into airtable app development. It would also save time for base creators who may be managing multiple apps so they don't have to focus on more minor things that are easily fixable.

When in the timeline view, I often need to change start and end times on a record by 5 or 10 minutes at a time rather than 1 hour or 30 minute increments. It would be extremely helpful if i could drag the edge of a record more precisely than the 1 hour increments that are currently allowed rather than having to manually type in the time. Also, it would be nice to be able to zoom in and out of the timeline using the mouse scroll wheel and have more precision on how much time is seen at once, rather than being limited to the standard day or week view.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Feature to manually select decimal places on a number in Interfaces, similar to the number/format field. How does is solve the user problems? More options to show relevant data, either more detailed with more decimal places or more of an overview with less/none decimal places. Who is the target audience? Anyone using numbers in Interfaces.

What is the proposed idea/solution? We should be able to filter records or create automations based off activites (e.g. show records that were marked as Done today, or if record was linked to another record 2 days ago...) How does is solve the user problems? This will help filter records (Attendees) that were linked today to another record (Event) to see how many sign ups we get per day. For automations, this will help Customer success have a list of all Tasks that have passed a certain stage after a certain amount of time. I'm sure there's a lot more we can do once we can use activity for Filters and automations.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Hide the large image/space in an interface when no records match a view's filters. Currently when there are no records, it actually takes up much more visual space than if there is one matching record. How does is solve the user problems? Hiding or condensing this visual would make it much easier for users/clients/readers to scroll a page quickly and see relevant information

I love the Blank Interface option, it allows for text and headers, but it cannot be shared publicly for some reason? I believe Dashboards, however, can be shared publicly. Adding the ability to include links, image, text, and headers would be powerful and helpful (and relatively simple!).

I think a key missing feature is the ability to embed items into an interface. I think this could take one of two (or both) forms. 1. A field that functions kind of like a "document" field. You insert an embed link. When viewed in a base, or in a grid/list view, it just shows as a preview - But when viewed in a record details pane - it translates to a custom sizable-embedded page. Each record's embedded view is based on the link in the field - just like the Button field type. 2. A "hard-coded" form - kind of like the difference between the "button field type" and the buttons you can set up in an interface. In the from-scratch interface builder - there would be a new element type called "Embed" where you could manual populate to with whatever embedded link needed. For example a google doc - or a news feed, etc. This by itself would accomplish half of the ideas that users have been putting forward for new automation triggers and integrations.

What is the proposed idea/solution? Base Schema extension... on steroids 💊!! The existing base schema extension is ok, but could be way better for documenting the base. Simple updates/requirements: 1. Allow for multiple slides/pages where different views/arrangements of the schema can be shown 2. Hide certain tables (when you want to show or explain one specific workflow) 3. Hide certain fields 4. Include table descriptions 5. Include field descriptions 6. Allow for a Header for each slide 5. Allow for text notes within each slide. How does is solve the user problems? Current base schema is good for understanding and visualizing, but not for documenting. Only a few additional features are needed. The whole base would be documented in one same place (extension), going through different workflows and structures in a neat and organized way. It would recycle already existing table and field descriptions. Who is the target audience? All Airtable users with complex bases!

What is the proposed idea/solution? Would love for the date field to have a new format (Day, month/day/year). Example: Friday, September 19, 2024. How does is solve the user problems? It would be super helpful so folks aren't having to switch back and forth between a calendar to see which day lands on that specific date. Our team uses Airtable a lot, and we've been having to create a separate text line to write out the day of the week. Would be much easier if the date format included day. How was this validated? ... Who is the target audience? ...
